Saitek 7.0.47.1 drivers

good morning CMDR's
I'm not sure I'm posting this in the right place but..

I recently found a new (to me) driver on the saitek UK site that seems to have fixed every problem with the X52 I've had in the year since i bought it. driver # 7.0.47.1 has completely stopped the stick flashes and button blackouts as well as the stick buttons not responding randomly. I have also found that these drivers offer FULL button mapping without the use of the SST software, but there's a tiny catch to it. you must leave your controller properties page (the test page) open or you wont have mapping options for 8-way throttle hat, throttle scroll and several others. I've testing this for days now.. unlugging, rebooting and rebinding. all seems good:D I'm using W7 x64 and SST software is nowhere on my PC.MFD reads "No Profile" but all buttons can be mapped. if you are having troubles with your saitek x52, x52pro then try these drivers

I noticed as well but haven't tried them yet. I discovered that since these include proper mouse emulation on the throttle, button 19 will cause Windows to switch out of the game.

...not if you leave the test window open..then it reads as "XB2345" or something like that.

I'm not sure what you are referring to. Can you elaborate?

Unless you want to use custom profiles, the default Windows 10 drivers work fine.

I just downloaded them because my X52 stopped working after the WIN 10 recent patch. Works OK, but I cant get the control panel open from the control system logo bottom right on my screen I have all the options the other items work eg profile editor but I can't get the control panel to open
anyone got any ideas?

Mine has completely stopped working after Windows 10 patch. When I try to install the new saitek drivers, it just doesn't recognise the joystick and I can't continue. Tried all USB ports and completely uninstalled the old drivers. Seems the windows default driver downloader doesn't complete either. Anyone with an idea for a fix?

AHA! I suddenly found a fix! :)

Repost from http://avsim.com/topic/478176-saitek-x52-and-windows-10/:
I managed to get it to work. Here's the solution...
Run the driver installer - the beta driver from the Madcatz site, then do as instructed and plug your X52 in. Let the installer run. Once Windows has completed its process, you'll need to go to device manager. From there, right click on the X52 (with the exclamation mark in a yellow triangle on it) and select 'Update Driver.'

This is the interesting bit. You'll need to choose 'Let me pick...' and then choose the first device - Generic USB Device or similar - NOT the X52 one.

Your X52 will then be recognised by Windows 10 and your installer will continue with its installation process. You should now have a fully functioning X52 again :)

Did that but can you open the control panel to adjust dead zones for example? That's the element I can't get to work

Nothing worked, no light on stick or anything. But yes, I can't check right now, but I haven't had any other problems since.

My X52 has been doing wierd things, it will stop working after I transition off a planet like it jumps to a different binding and none of the buttons work all of the sudden. Win 10 Pro seems to have decimated a lot of my small stuff like this and now have to get it all back

go down in your open items in the ^ arrow bottom right task bar, right click on the flightstick icon, hit control panel. Set any deadzones, LEDs, Time, etc.

My 4th x55 produced a strong smell of hot plastic and stopped working last night. it's 2 months old lol

Yea... as nice as the X-55 seams at first glance, it has many problems... funny thing: All my buttons worked fine before I switched to Windows 10, now one of the stick hats is stuck in the "right" position, no matter what driver I use.

Seams like the X-55 got the new driver too now... still got problems with my stick buttons though.

Read the fix above might have to do the same thing go under your HID devices in control panel, if Saitek has the yellow triangle right click update driver, browse, let me pick, hit USB input device

Also the Saitek Software is incompatible with AMD Multi-GPU Users. Crossfire 'Idling' is screwed. Uninstalled, Elite still works properly without Saitek Software installed!

Saitek have been made aware, not expecting a fix, but my FSX and DCS are both out of order.

I've spent a huge amount of time corresponding with Saitek support the last few months

Your problem could just as easily be a hardware issue (switch failure) as a driver glitch; on all 3 of my windows 10 machines the 3 way mode switch stopped working on both my active x55s and the throttle vanished from the joy.cpl Saitek acknowledged it's pure driver funkery but it was rendered moot by the fact both x55s then failed within 8 weeks of each other lol. I keep sending them back, they keep sending me new ones that promptly break...
