Damn, well, you make this...

When is there going to be a fix for those of us experiencing constant transaction server errors and are therefore unable to play the game we paid for?

I assume your talking about the dreaded Data.ovx file error? There doesn't seem to be a solution as such yet. The only real solution at present is for them to post the updated files BEFORE they release a patch. Unfortunately they never ever do this....we have to beg and plead for them to do it. I just don't understand why you wouldn't do this routinely for such a common fault.....its ad hoc customer service at its worst.

- Fix crash with missing asteroid physics

Wot? Asteroids have physics? xD
You mean the collision mesh, or just the static rotation?
Man i WISH asteroids had physics (floating around, colliding, bouncing off other asteroids). Relatively slowly and gently, so RES didnt become mad chaos.

This is because support got fed up of people asking isn't it!

Then let's start asking when they bring back the count for killed ships. There is a count for destroyed skimmers, so why not for ships? It was there back in the old beta days.

As for hours: 3W 3H 3M (i.e. 507 hours) playing since the Standard Beta August 2014.

I'm seeing a nice improvement on my Optimus laptop. Still have to use lowish settings, but can tear around in the SRV at 60FPS now.

NIce Thanks for posting Bret. im getting a bug where my whole system will freeze completely and i am forced to reset the whole machine. it happens when im at a station or ground side port and am using the inship menus. other than that (many times a day seemingly at random so have not narrowed down the actual trigger for it) Horizons is genuinely awesome.

I will post a proper ticket if i can more accurately describe the bug or if i run out of patience trying to diag it.

Think i've had the same as you - seems to be the main station services menu thats borked... the other side menus for me work fine if this happens (only twice now). I "think" it was down to me being too quick of the mark and trying to select menu items the millisecond the menu comes up as a result the menu goes ape.

Fix for me was to just exit the game back to the menu and then reload it again.

I think that is because RES WOULD become mad chaos that they don't have them do this - once one gets bumped you are talking about a chain reaction that could make asteroid fields a total no go area..

Not sure if it's this problem. There has certainly been no conformation from the devs saying it is. The problem occurs anytime the game needs to use transaction servers and results in a d/c 100% of the time.

Anything coming in soon to give us decent "kill pirates" missions back?

I did one last night, took it from a surface station somewhere in the Sol system (on Mercury) to go to Alpha Cent and kill three pirates...

Interdicted all three right out of SC one after the other as soon as I hit the system.

A patch! Fantastic!

Getting "Approximate time played" is great (and scary), but I wonder if there might be some more in-game way of phrasing it. Maybe "Time active" or "Time logged". I feel my ship should not be using the word "played". :)

IMHO, that's not an ED bug, but a problem with your PC (maybe a driver issue). No matter what a game does, it should never crash Windows itself. So you must have something fundamentally wrong.
