UA Mystery thread 4 - The Canonn

Hi guys I just joined to find some evidence about the Aliens InGame.

We should destroy all of them (UAs), when they are really some sort of scanners the Aliens behind this mystical UAs couldnt scan anymore so they have to come ^^

The Release Trailer is defintily showing us some Planetside pics of some really scaring green light things so, somehing should be in merope I think!?

How I said, I am new to this search and I just asked myself, from where or how did the UAs come into the bubble? Maybe some faction is working with the "aliens"?

cheers

I definitely don't think the green things are in the Pleades. Almost all of the planets I've landed on are pretty well lit up even on the dark sides by the gases of the nebula. It has to be outside of it.

Hehe this is a salvageable wreckage site related to the Antares CG..

This is a LOT of wreckage. =p

uc

And it's a fixed (permanent) spawn too, it's almost like some sort of ship graveyard, in Luhman 16, near A2.

I haven't checked all the other systems so am unsure if this is a one-off but given the amount of wreckage, could this be where the Antares actually ended up.

Is it normal for stars to have a ring?

I did find one with rings before when I was exploring. I don't remember where it was, but it did surprise me as well. They were massive rings too, which I suppose makes sense as stars are really massive and probably anything closer would get sucked in by the gravitational well.

Holy Thargoid fear glands! That's one dense wreckage site. Never seen one like that before.

Lol. No I didn't either, and I suspect others aren't picking up on it.

It's a really dark area and it's not massively apparent just how much wreckage there is here until you go external view or get a good angle where the light reflects off everything.

I want to visit the other places now to see if any other fixed salvageable wreckage sites exist (I don't think there was one in Talta, could be wrong though) and if so are they like this. I'd planned to fill this Cutter with CG stuff first tho, and well I think it's gonna take a while. =p

For those stil not sure, you can find UA 135 ly in direction of the california nebula (61 Tau-1 Arietis) , I trying out the theory that maybe I can find some around a similar star to merope 300 Ly from merope. And I ll stop at every B star on the way. What I find somtime strange when roving on the surface, you suddenly get music, maybe we should follow the music ....

I found a Salvageable Wreckage site like that once before, kms across. There was a Anaconda (Rescue One) and Asps (Rescue Two, Three and Four) flying about 'scanning for escape pods'. I don't think it was a fixed site though.

Wait WHAT?! An Antares CG, right when I gotta go spend Christmas away from my PC?! FML.

EDIT: Oh BTW, this wreckage is a big one, but I've come across one in Merope too. I guess when it's THE Antares wreckage, we'll get to see the ship, beat up yeah but recognizable, like a mothership or something.

Whilst this is correct for the most part I have found one location that fits the bill and haven't yet checked to see if the pattern will repeat but will be later tonight having finally got back to Sol.

Anyway, go to the furthest planet's most distant satellite in Maia and fly to one of the poles. You'll see a massive crater which is host to another massive crater. It was absolutely pitch black, just like the alien temple in the trailer. I couldn't explore it fully because it was too dangerous and I don't have much insurance money . The area is humongous too. These sorts of regions are plenty dark enough.

So, I take it Walker Survey was your secret location? Just a thought, but I noticed that place doesn't have a regular commodities market, only the black market. Do we know if any of the other affected station had "no commodities market" prior to shutdown? I only asked because I was wondering if the items sold at a station fail to register stats server side if the commodities market is not present...

Yes, it was my secret location.

Huh. Good spot. That would be a very glaring oversight imo, but one at least that could be "explained away". Maybe I could try again with a station with a commodities market, but I don't know if I want to do this experiment again. Given my previous two lengthy posts about this topic, I don't know if I have the stamina to actively work on something (the same thing that achieved nothing before) for a couple weeks only to have all those efforts (ingame and out of game) essentially be ignored, again.

YEah Antares CG : https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showthread.php?t=195658&p=3310018&viewfull=1#post3310018

Well the CG lasts for 2 weeks so plenty of time! And no doubt this is actually just the beginning of the "The Missing" storyline.

When/if we find the Antares (or what's left of it) I'm sure there's gonna be more things revealed. :)

Wow...I'm gutted...I'm counting on you bitstorm! Good luck to everybody taking part in that CG.

EDIT:

@bitstorm: I hope, I'd really like to be a part of the search. I'd go so far as to say Nigel Smeaton was a good friend of mine.

Thought i better let you lot know in case it may be important, after getting back to the bubble and repairing was almost going to log off. but looked at the sol system.

Not sure when , must have been a day or two at most or maybe just now, but Triton the moon of Neptune has no permit lock now.

Quick scout around before i log off , a bug or a recent unlock i dont know , but taking a look round just in case while i'm here.

Isn't that what were all actually doing here - achieving possibly nothing? You're just better at it; but certainly not ignored here.

Good spot with Triton if that is the case! :)

Meanwhile, I'm about to start my intricate examination of Obsidian Orbital. I intend to spend some time inside, but most definitely outside, the station. Checking for anything out of the ordinary. Anything that could be considered a 'Barnacle'.

I'll record the whole thing but will only post the footage if I find anything. Wish me luck! :)

It's very hard to make a comparison. My picture was clearly taken from orbit not from ground so the angle of the thing could be wrong. The point would be to somehow measure the distance between the various nebulas and their position. I could believe it's close to what we're looking for (definietly closer than the previous).

That's looking closer. I'd say to go down a bit more, and maybe a little closer. The distant galaxies need to be a little higher and farther out. You're doing a great job CMDR, the Canonn salutes you!

Cant rep you but you need it

I found some on fixed salvagable wreckage signal at Lughman 16 near planet. You can replenish there as much as you want

Here's another image of that Salvageable Wreckage POI. Really big. Haven't seen one that big before. You can keep popping in and out of it and the canisters will respawn each time, with 5 per pop. I had to give up after about 50 though. It's exceedingly boring.
