...a fine old mess on h-jump (Cut the Power missions)

Cut the power missions while fun are being made unnecessarily time syncy and laborious, by on h-jump fines.

Cut The Power:

Take mission,
find the system,
find the planet,
find the base,
find the and shoot the generator,
find your ship,
jump out of system,
(ok, finding a lot of stuff but, all good fun 'til here), then

jump back into system,
find a station,
dock,
pay the fine (on h-jump),
jump out of system,

find mission giving system,
jump to system,
locate the station,
dock,
get paid for the mission.

I think this has already got a bit tedious.

Could we have fines that can be paid off without h-jump for these and other planetary missions?

Just don't do the jump then. Being wanted in a system is only a danger if they scan you. Just avoid the security and it won't be an issue. If there is no security ships at the station, outpost, or planetary base then there's even less of a problem.

The reason they do it is so that I'm not in the middle of interdicting you (a wanted cmdr) and then your timer expires and you're clean.

Seems laborious in this context.

If I could pay it off without jumping from the system, after the timer. But remain wanted until I pay, that might work. then you have 'til a wanted CMDR gets to a station to retaliate.

Or maybe they could differentiate between shooting a cmdr and a generator?

Yeah, what we really need is some complexity and depth in the criminal system beyond "pay off for a fee" and "open season to kill you".
