Man, being unable to search around with you all is driving me nuts! Just a few more days till I can get back in the mix of things.
Been thinking about the ua shell and what people have mentioned about them slowly traveling in a direction (unless I completely misunderstood what was said). Could it be that somehow, some way, the UA's were "ejected" from merope's main star itself?
Thinking of it as if the shell is a ripple, slowly increasing its spread through the galaxy, originating from one single source. This also somewhat lines up with the fact we haven't found any ua's in the pleiades in quite some time. It also doesnt make sense to me that if they were dropped or jumped in, that they would encompass merope in a circle, thus enclosing on the star, rather than the UA's heading away from a central location - Merope. If this is the case, then there's in fact something very special about merope that we havent figured out yet.
This could also mean we may be looking at the artefacts upside-down.
Summary of my nonsense:
-Could the UA's have been ejected from Merope itself?
-Are we looking at them upside-down?
-Could the UA's be scanning for the barnacles?
-We know they all point towards Merope with what we believe is the head, but what if it is in fact, the tail? This could mean that there is no direct system or star in which they are heading, because they may not have a specific target in sight other than scanning for a specific target/condition along the way.
I'm starting to lean towards the artefacts being "sperm" of sorts, looking for the barnacles to fertilize, OR possibly even planets to fertilize. The heads of actual barnacles look far too similar to the head of the artefacts. I'm also 100% convinced that the reproductive organs of the artefact lie within the "hatch" on the head, just like what can be seen of real life barnacles.
Like mentioned before about needing specific conditions to farm, I'm also willing to bet that in order to find what we're looking for, we need to find the correct "soil".
I also think my tinfoil hat is starting to fuse with my skull. This thing is getting itchy!
Thanks for humoring me while being away and unable to really contribute!
