Thanks for reporting this, I've added the ID to the supported devices so it should now show up.

Let me know how the fighterstick looks; it's something that I've added but haven't heard much feedback on results.

Thank's, rudders now looking ok. Regarding the Fighterstick. You have two of the hats the wrong way around. The one that has comms panel, system panel etc. should be where the hat with the targetting commands are and vice versa. Also target ahead and secondary fire are the wrong way around.

You need to configure the SRV seperately to the normal ship. Would suggest that you chose the similar function (thruster forward/backwards...) same as your ship steering. Check some Youtube videos, it will help very much as well... looks more complicated in the beginning as it actually is.

Throwing this out there for anyone else to use, this is my setup using the Thrustmaster HOTAS for ship flight, XBOX 360 controller for SRV and various keyboard controls. Some of the keyboard controls may seem odd, but that probably means I assigned it to an out of the way key purely so I could use voiceattack to trigger it, for example Shield Cells on keypad minus (also assigned to a HOTAS button for actual use, but voiceattack triggers it via the minus key, and it ensures I don't press it by mistake).

Other aspects I'm happy with include binding keypad 1 through 9 to the 9 throttle presets (-100%, -75%, -50%, -25%, 0%, 25%, 50%, 75%, 100%) for rapid selection of exact throttle amounts in a way that's intuitive to remember all 9 instantly.

You've done a great Job ... Thanks JGM.

I'm using the T16000 and will soon have a CH throttle.

I've been having a great problem making the changes I do make actually Stick. I go back and look and they haven't changed. Do you understand what the Game is doing with the binding file we edit?

In prep for my new throttle I wonder if you have a listing of the key binding files on you web site where I could grab one for just the 16000 alone and also one for the combo of the 16000 and the CH Pro Throttle together?

Your time and patience is sure commendable JGM and Thanks again.

Your issue is probably that you have multiple .binds files in your %LOCALAPPDATA%\Frontier Developments\Elite Dangerous\Options\Bindings directory with the same name inside the XML file. Commonly this is because you manually copied an existing file to make a backup but don't alter the contents of the file.

If you look at the second line of your custom binds file you'll see it say something like:

<Root PresetName="Custom" MajorVersion="1" MinorVersion="8">

You need to change the PresetName to something else, for example:

<Root PresetName="Backup" MajorVersion="1" MinorVersion="8">

or of course just delete the backup file(s) or move them to another directory.

The web site does allow users to mark their bindings as public but there is no internal directory of them so they aren't searchable at the moment. It's something that I'd like to add but I don't have a lot of time at current so it's unlikely to make it for at least the next month.

Ok.. thanks.. I didn't think that could effect anything ie having the backups in there with the main files.:D

I'll make the changes and give it a go. Thanks a bunch!

Somewhat off topic, but I thought as you other hotas users would be looking here... Is there a hotas stick with desk clamps? I use a thrustmaster t-flight, and while shes great at what she does, she doesn't half move about a lot. So if I am going to blow a couple of hundred quid on a new one, I'd like something more stable. (was looking at a x55 but saw no desk clamps). Thank you for any help, sorry about the derail... back to topic, ty. :)

I don't know of any controllers that have a desk clamp. But I know the Warthog has the ability to be screwed down onto a surface also I think the X52 can be screwed down in a similar fashion. They could be attached to a piece of wood that can be clamped onto a desk etc.
Have you tried that non slip matting thats available in a lot of places now. I know Maplin keep it, but I cant seem to find it on their website it is similar to this on Amazon http://www.amazon.co.uk/New-Multipu...730110&sr=8-1&keywords=anti+slip+matting+roll . I find it works very well.

Cheers, I'll look into the matting thing. Thanks :)

I used the web page and got a nice graphical rpresentation of my T-Flight x hotas, and xbox controller (used for srv) and my keyboard binds, fantastic tool, thanks OP.
My only critizism is that i got a message saying my settings was wrong and a link to the post about not using axis binds, and using inputs below instead.
So i tried doing as suggested, removed the stick axis for pitch ect, i found it horrible, on my stick i had a large deadzone before any input, so i changed them back. But the tool itself is fantastic.

Interesting. Sounds like I might be reporting things the wrong way around. Do you have a reference to the binds that gave the incorrect error message?

not on my pc right now, but after submitting my binds the message at the top told me i was using analogue not digital, the link to a forum post stated not to use the pitch axis bind, but use the pitch up\down binds below that, which i tried, but this gave me a large deadzone. (which can't be adjusted in the control binds)

It might not have been pitch. I used pitch as an example in the thread, but the reference sheet webpage would tell you which specific controls you hadn't mapped correctly.

I've also updated the page so that it is clearer as to which controls have been misconfigured for your specific configuration.

Slightly off topic too but in answer to SnowyNIs Query:

One can always mount a plate on the bottom of the case for the stick and throttle. Then you can bolt it down to the table or wood and clamp it to the table.

ok, so here is my config, with pitch\roll\yaw axis used. www.mcdee.net/elite/binds/yagpxh

As you can see it says my settings are wrong and directs me here: https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showthread.php?t=209792

but realised i read it the wrong way round, will try again.

edit: now i have this, www.mcdee.net/elite/binds/pkildv
the wrong controls are just my added hotas along with my xbox pad for the srv, so now this is ok.
