You get gimballed weapons now (well done FD - some cmdrs still can't use fixed weapons after months of play, let alone a noob who is learning the ropes!) and if you go for the horizons sidey..an SRV is included. Also in a new system this time, not going to tell you where for obvious reasons, but woo-hoo..it's not the crap LHS 3447!

I have fond memories of outfitting my Sidewinder and helping Federal authorities take out pirates in my first resource extraction site, but I would never clear my save. She and I have too many memories. And credits. ;)

Courageous! I wouldn't do the same, after a year's worth of playing and exploration, it'd be too great of a loss to reset my commander-save.

+ rep. Enjoy! My choice was to head out and explore but I may do a reset. I reset in beta after I'd tried the ships and I like the starting setup choices you get with Horizons. Also the large station in the system with the Horizons start had all ships available. I am hoping FD continues to have that in future betas.

I love starting over in games, I will have to give it a miss in ED though, I have well over 300 hours played and still working towards my first Python, what can I say I've never done any of the lucrative activities and really just played to have fun and explore. I did start a new character on the xbox though and it was very nice to see that the game is fun no matter at what level of wealth you're currently at, they have done a great job of making the cheapest ships in the game really fun to fly. And even though I usually play with a hotas I was really impressed how well the game plays on a controller, although I have to admit that I really sucked with fixed weapons on the xbox but its more than playable once you get gimbals.

Really enjoy the newbie play and you find that thing people complain about being "empty" is actually full of life when all you have is a sidey and 1000Cr
.
Finding a Canister of Bauxite worth 55CR is nothing to a CMdr with 100000000000000000000000000000000000000000CR and every ship fully spec'd but to me in my sidewinder its something to cherish and protect.

Also a good starting location as you can transfer palladium into orbit for 1200Cr/T when you earn enough cash! (bio reducing Lichen back the way for 303Cr/T aint bad back the way either so its a reall good place to start
