just cant help myself...that had me rolling....really shoulda quoted salami to...must be the onion head....im finding way to much humor for my own good today...that or I'm to punch drunk from working on my grand idea I had about a week ago...either way it struck the funny bone... I do so hate having to replace windshields though....love to use the ARU but...takes space I need for other stuff...sigh decisions, decisions...on the bright side...no one can hear the high pitched girl like wail in complete vacuum when the time runs out
...I just wish I could see their windows shot out when im aiming for em...I would really love to kill the pilot and take the ship...uhmm no sir I'm not a Pirate but a bunty hunters got expenses and hunting said villain incurred additional expenses that his ship will cover nicely...yup yes that's it.yup cockpit options...military grade...while im putting the wishlist together...military grade weapons ....more weapons...and the perfect hunting ship...nimble, fast...4 mediums, 2 large, plenty of power and jump range better than 11 rated...nothing big just 20 ly...not to much to ask...oh and no issue with power or shields...external points 4 or 5...I did say additional wishlist...its a long one...what...not here...fine...the cockpit stays though.

I'd be immediatly put off by the fact that the sloped armour on the turret front will bounce shells up into the winscreen...
This is just a thought, but how about an armoured blast shutter than be closed around the canopy to protect it, the only downside being is that you have to rely on your radar to track and fight the enemy also the shutters are not airtight so if the canopy if breached they won't stop the ship depressurizing.
The Vulture really needs it's shields. Go head to head without them and your canopy crumbles, try to run away without them and your powerplant gets mauled. Best bet is to try to keep your shields up
python suffers the same issue...

Indeed and it's much harder to sit behind everything in a Python than it is in a Vulture
So far the FAS canopy seems stronger, or am I just imagining things because of the overall beastliness?

Try reading it after he is blocked, it makes more sense, and is more funny, if you don't know what he is whinging about.
The secret is not to put your canopy in direct line of your ship's centre mass because that is where the NPC's generally seem to aim.
And like someone else said. Heading straight towards a well armed ship is a really bad idea, especially if the ship you are in has a big, central canopy.
The Asp can get this as well but it has the speed to run so you can always shake your patootie at most aggressors if you so desire before you jump away.
It's not really a fighter, more a runner to be fair.

This post seems dismissive, but it's actually a great suggestion.
If you commonly fight in a ship with a weaker canopy (vulture, DB), and find your glass blown out regularly - use better a better O2 module.
The oxygene is not the issue, the info displayed is.
Or the lack thereof.
Missed the fact I said I had to dock every so much for repair?
One cannot dock if one is dead, I thought.

i have no idea, all I know is I have canopy issues when I find myself in direct line of sight against the aggressor...so I avoid it.
I would imagine it is purely a line of sight thing when dealing with NPC's unless SJA is playing with stuff.
How to know but I have a Vulture and Asp and I have similar issues in both and usually when I'm out of position and they're coming straight at me.

I try to stay either above or below the opponents.
This works awesomely when they are solo, even if paired.
Once a third big dipper is involved... well...
From what I can see, it's mostly the Flak Cannon that does this.
and i base myself on what I see pass by the moment I get hit on my canopy, small fragments.
