Just kidding, as some said, the price is based on the fact it's an advanced ship.
Try to see this in a different, more positive way:
1) you have a goal to work to (x2, seeing it has to be outfitted, and you want spare Creds should things go sour)
2) Once you have this 100Mcr ship, you'll be the proud owner of a ship you actually worked hard for.

Yeah, I can agree with this, I am grinding to get my Python atm, but yeah I will LOVE to grab it, when I grind for it, and yeah I'll feel pourd owner, so yeah I'll see what I can do, but still maybe if it was 20mil or 10mil, instead of 45mil, whuold be nice.
Only due, the ship is use useless atm.
Why exactly? I think the Orca is maybe the most useless ship in the game. I checked out a couple of builds, but the Orca is outclassed in all roles by other ships for a similar (or smaller) amount of money. I have not considered buying the ship for even a fraction of a second. Making it cheaper would be a nice way to make it more attractive...
The above is just my own opinion and I don't really care what happens to the Orca. Even of they sell it for 100k, I won't buy one...
EDIT: I read the term "luxury" a lot, but I fail to see where that becomes important or even is visible...Even with passenger transportation down the line sometime, you will just buy a module for passenger transportation and fill it up with NPCs as numbers. You still won't see anything but the cockpit...maybe this will change when first-person arrives in a year or two (or three), though.

Right on!, and yes I'll feel like that for sure, when I get it, but like I said, if it was dropped to about 20-10Mil, that be better, tho the missions need to come out first!

That would make buying the Orca an almost sensible choice. To buy an Orca at its current price takes a... er... verypeculiarparticular kind of person. I say keep it at its current price.

To answer your question about the Orca and Alioth, yes it has a 20% discount at the station Irkutsk.

Orca...beautiful ship, completely useless. But I still want one because its gorgeous, and will be fun as hell to wander around in when we get the FPS module. Plus, its a party barge, so when you have one you can invite all your friends over for drinks! And, btw, there will be a pool & tiki bar in mine

I utterly DESPISE the huge, open canopy. Maybe it'd make sense as a luxury passenger vehicle, but I completely hate it from an aesthetic point of view.
