Calling all pirates, share your opening pirate spiel with us!

You know, like how the troll lives under the bridge, demands a fee for "safe passage", then eats you anyway...I didn't invent it, so go ahead.

Funnily enough, El Dragoon is far closer to an historical pirate than the more gentlemanly coves that have such lavishly colourful avatars and sigs. The bucaneers [interesting etymology, BTW], who preyed on the Spanish treasure ships, had a tendency to either steal the vessel and kill everyone, or destroy the vessel and kill everyone, having taken the cargo and, most distressingly, the women too.

These were brutal men, and sometimes women, who murdered in cold blood. That having been said, many were escaped slaves or indentured servants [pretty much the same thing back then], so their rage and brutality may be understood.

The kindlier pirates in Elite remind me more of 18th C highwaymen, "Stand and deliver! Your money or your life!"

Perhaps the Code should consider a rebranding? They won't hear it from me, though, since I am on their "ignore" list. Such a shame.

Someone put you on an ignore list o-o?

Such a shame.

wow, code is still a thing? bravo , honestly i thought code faded out awhile ago, i never see any code members in open anymore

Oh here goes the rumor spreading again, nice try.

Edit:

I can see this thread getting off track very soon if this pattern is to follow, so I suggest any attempt of false information spreading to be put to a halt by their spreaders before the moderators get involved.

not my fault, you know if code actually pirated more often rumors wouldn't of started

, ps the former way to pirate is slowly dying, asking politely for your cargo isn't a sound tacit, you should try steal and kill method, that way you will be feared more, and more people will drop there cargo, instead of loseing there ship

I personally prefer to think that the lack of complaint is a fine result of proper management of the organization, but indeed, I would say that a second Hutton incident might be on the brink of advent judging from the internal discussion as of late.
