Where are the abandoned ships and huge shipwrecks on planets?

I have found the following so far:

-Small outposts with 4 buildings and a signal tower
-Smashed wreckage of a medium to small ship (a pair of canisters and a "cargo rack" I could shoot
-Random cargo rolling past me...
-Cargo canisters guarded by drones (I have no idea why...)

What I would LIKE to see:

-Landed NPC ships with SRV's out doing science stuff
-Crashed NPC ships
-Lost "generation ships" or early long range ships that were lost in space (in orbit around a failed colony or crashed and cannibalized on the ground)
-Dead starports/cities from long gone colonies from the "golden age" of exploration at the edge of the bubble (say within 500 LY of the core).
-Cannibalized and "lost" stations or refuelling ports around distant worlds (see golden age explanation).

Then we have the fun stuff

Isolationist colonies that will shoot you if you do something stupid (outposts and even stations where we cannot dock but contain ships that fly around doing spacey stuff).

Add the option of isolationist outposts where we can use their SERVICES and when enought time/money is spent on their services we MIGHT unlock a service option and EVENTUALLY gain their trust and access a bulletin board to work for them.

Then we could work to get access to their larger stations.

In the long run a player would have access to a starport far away from regular human space.

Not missing much there buildings will normally house skimmers protecting rare tea??? cargo :(

That would be nice and fun!

Is not difficult. Just puts someone with imagination working. I hope someone in FDEV read your suggestion.

Yeah i sold off my SRV after 2-3 days of fooling around. Once you have seen 1 or 2 planets, you have seen them all. More or less. Theres just no incentive to go down there and drive. The credits certainly isnt enough, the action is poor, and the gains in general are miniscule.
Its fun to drive around yes... but thats pretty much it. Im not getting a new SRV until i know theres a reason to drive around or just more.... of everything.
Also theres no point in going as a wing of 4 players. Beyond the fun of driving togheter, there are no Co-op or Wings content whatsoever.
When we are 3-4 players togheter, we always start togheter then we split up because thats more profitable.
Driving side by side and nothing else is only fun for a short while. I too was expecting maybe a crashed capital ship or something, larger bases with more to do.... then it hit... this is an XBONE game as well... that has to run on limited hardware... yeah, so there that.

I found it too. Went there after i saw that picture.

Edit

I log out and in multiple times and its in same place so its persistent. It isn´t POI (not market in ships scanner as POI), there is no skimmers, no fly zone and all cargo were legal salvage. I found 3 cargo racks, those had rare materials. I found Gold, palladium and Bertrandite cargo canisters. You can easily see it 5 km away and i flew up to 15 km and i could still see it (Hard, but the dot was still different that everything else on surface. I visited during night so i don´t know how it look in light.

Could you see it from Orbital Cruise?

Plenty more screenshots where this came from, but better you enjoy the hunt yourselves. As the local galnet news item says, it's Orrere, Orrere 2 B. Last known location Lat: 43, Long: -173.

Was there 12 days ago, and have visited it 3 times now including last night. BUT, and it's a big but - while looting it again (be wrong not to) last night the game crashed on me. When I reloaded at the same lat/long it was gone. Really hope Frontier haven't just done something to remove it because it was very cool.
I'll have yet another look for it after work tonight just to be sure.
Spent two hours looking, then I realized it's orrere b not a :/.
