I want to leave here my 2 cents, as a new player:
-Close to no "induction" to the game. Im not expecting a "do this, now do this, now do this" type guide. A handful of scripted quests in the very beginning can show the new player around. Graphics are amazing, but that will not be enough to keep the players on the longer run.
-No tooltips or any guidance to teach the new player ship building aspects
-No warning on the actual risks. You get a lucky kill on 200k ship, then you buy yourself a Viper with some equipment only to lose 2 minutes later because no one told you how important insurance is --> refund, player gone
-Nothing to concentrate the players into areas. Powerplay is nice, but it has no (aka ZERO) advertisement, you end up flying clueless until you get bored --> player gone
-Either Open or Closed play, there is no difference. There is no benefit to play in open. There is no squad/wing system, it is tasked on the players to do something about it. This is a freedom that should not be considered by the designer team, no matter the game
-CQC sucks. It is an AMAZING arena play aspect, except you are fighting others who started well before you and you are hopelessly outmatched
-Nothing to promote teamplay. I'd love to sacrifice myself to prevent the enemy force to take out the trader im trying to defend.
I started only recently, at the end of November. As for bugs, since Horizon, im getting frozen during fights in RES zones, just like the fellow pilot posting above me. And im running the following: 16GB 1866MHz RAM (OC turned off), GTX970, i5 6790s (no OC here either), SSD drive. It is really annoying to lose the prize in RES multiple (!) times a day (looks like a memory overflow issue). The freezing happens in both the 32 and 64 bit client.
If FD will read this: Bring the players together in either mild scripted events, or put a prize into a number of systems, then grab your hat, pour whiskey into your glass with ice, light up a Cuban cigar and ask yourself: Why didnt i do this earlier? Im telling you, you will see hundreds/thousands of ships (Sheeps?

) giving their best to grab that prize.
