Okay here goes with my spreadsheet.

Pleiades Planetary Landing Data
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1wmSi-3ZELqOK51ypEmHSZRligUFw79RnXmPPH0H8TAw/edit?usp=sharing

I've opened it up for editing so please be nice and don't graffiti on it. :)
I've locked off certain areas, but the main area for making changes should be available to everyone.
If you want to add any other systems and planets to the sheet, add them on the bottom below row 308.
I've got the data validations going up to 500 right now, but I might increase that to 1000 just for the hell of it.

System name (as it appears on Galaxy Map)
Object name (as it appears on System Map)
Type (Star,Black Hole,Gas Giant,Earth-like,Ammonia,Water,Metal-rich,High Metal Content,Rocky,Icy)
Landable (Yes,No)
Tidally Locked (Yes,No)
Gravity (numeric)
Landing CMDR name

The Materials section is based on the 3/2/1 rule for material availability on planets.
3 from Common (Arsenic,Chromium,Germanium,Manganese,Selenium,Vanadium,Zinc,Zirconium)
2 from Rare (Cadmium,Mercury,Molybdenum,Niobium,Tin,Tungsten)
1 from Very Rare (Antimony,Polonium,Ruthenium,Technetium,Tellurium,Yttrium)

Will add some data.

Anyone want to add me fell free GTR 2014

Sorry for having to ask a simple question which might have been repeatedly answered before in the last Mega-Thread :

Is the ability to locate the "large Barnacles" tied to carrying an associated live Mission from the Bulletin Board?

Since the Faction Influence System currently seems bugged (nothing moving since days), I might have time to spare and buzz a few hundred POIs over at the Pleiades.
But I don't want to entirely waste my time if there was no chance to discover anything due to not carrying one of these (rare?) Meta Alloy Missions.

I'm aware Mission Presence commonly and massively boosts the spawn probability of any needed Signal Source or POI - but with this one I'm not too sure.

MB has confirmed we do not need the mission to find the Barnacles, and it seems most likely that they are fixed POI's and there for RNG won't play a factor (however that is not entirely confirmed, just mostly)
Hope this helps and when Rizal gets the chance I'm sure he'll get some Barnacle related info on the front page (if you need a hand with any of that Rizal just ask theres a decent bit of info on the thread I made)

If you get the chance to drop it off from an SRV and record the sounds it makes on as many of the Merope moons as possible and upload them here that'd be amazing. Together we might be able to go over them and extract something more from the audio. If you can do videos that would be even better, so we can see what they are doing. o7

(I was supposed to do this yesterday but I got distracted by IRL stuff and forgot to pick my UA up again before logging off :( )

I'll look into it.

Somebody correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure someone asked Michael Brookes that very question in thread 4 and he said pretty unequivocally you don't need to have engaged the meta-alloys mission in order to be able to find the barnacles.

Whether barnacles are more likely to be found with the mission or not is a different matter though.

Edit: Ouch! Ninja'd by squiggsy.

*Throws rep at screen*

I'm coming online to search through the information I have to hand from my previous expeditions now :)

I'm still on the hunt for distress calls on the nebula, might be nothing , but i'm going for it anyway....

(and they are running from me because in 2 days I couldnt find one!)

I saw one yesterday in Atlas. I dropped into it and started getting obliterated so I got out of there in a hurry since I was in my exploration ship.

There's always a joker...

If the virtual graffiti carries on, I'll just slam the locks down and give out edit rights on an individual basis

Not sure who made the "1.4 UA Spawn Systems" spreadsheet but you might want to have a look.

I've had it open in a tab for ages, looks like some idiot has tried to sabotage it. :(

Is it a google spreadsheet? Those things come with edit history so if someone has messed with it you should be able revert the changes and also find out who the sneaky rogue agent was.

Perhaps it would be beneficial to have a post with the commander names who are actively working on any of this and that wouldn't mind being friended by fellow canonn members.

EAGLE 5

You can add me as you please.

Anyone else want me to test some wild theories on the relevance of Unknown Artifacts and whatever else you can come up with?

Ah I was just about to ask what happened, tried adding info for HR 1185 and got locked out :\ , too many trolls lurking on this thread I'd guess

@all replying guys

Thanks, so I guess I'll hop over.
I assume Merope is the natural place to go, since the UAs point there.

Since temperature was mentioned in the Meta Alloy description, Merope 5 A-C with their moderate 297K temperatures look the most promising to me.
If there's anything supposedly alive, those Earth-like temperatures sure would look sexy as well.

PS.
Merope Sun being 774 Million years old is at least two Sevens. Sure it means absolutely nothing, but the "7 sisters" came to my mind when I looked at its Sun age ;)

I donn't know if this has been tested yet, buthas anyone tried to drop an UA near a gas giant with life?. Or next to a moon around them?.

Sorry you got caught in the crossfire, but it got silly fast.

Anyone who wants edit rights access to this spreadsheet should PM me with their Gmail name so I can add folks on an individual basis.
I won't add people without a PM beforehand. Requesting access from the sheet will be ignored without a PM here first.
