I would like to know which thread generated the most infractions. Now that would be quite interesting. Especially as I am infraction free and feeling a bit demob happy about it.

I'm on the naughty list - I've collected 5 so far, but never more than one active at the same time. All from being a little too emphatic responding to folks saying how everything is broken and it has to be remade just how they like it or they'll ragequit and the game will die and FD will go broke etc Plus I have a bit of a foul mouth IRL (ex-sailor. 'nuff said) and it sometimes spills over into my online persona :)

Freakin squids! Some of the worst stories I cant tell my wife about come from times that I hung out with the MA's stationed with me.

But, honestly, most of your posts are well written -and I daresay polite. Maybe I havent seen the sailor come out?

The worst people, ever, are cable TV companies

For me, the absolutely-most criminal are the internet carriers that have kept us in a state of artificial scarcity and made access to something we invented the laughing-stock of other countries (Like Sweden; like Germany; like Japan).

And "criminal"? Yep. Dig into the 1996 Telecommunications Act Of 1996 [TCA] - we (Americans) gave the carriers an estimated $300 billion dollars in excess profits and tax deductions that have been collected for this purpose [of building out the fiber backbone and 'last-mile' pipes]. And what did we get for that? Fleeced; tin-cans-and-string speeds... and Congress didn't do a futzing thing about it.

Maybe that's because having ended up catching it from the mods so many times for being over-opinionated or unintentionally evading the swear filter I am a little more careful letting the stream of consciousness flow :) Trust me, what I actually SAY while reading some of the more umm... ludicrous posts on here (not exactly pointing at this sequence of threadnauts but it dies seem to be a subject that attracts them) would not be acceptable on any family friendly forum. I try to be respectful even after I've turned the local atmosphere blue describing in rich blasphemous and biological detail what I think of what I'm replying to :D

ETA: And the difference between a sea story and a fairy tale is that a fairy tale starts "Once upon a time... " and a sea story starts "No <redacted>, there I was..."

You lot are slacking. The UA thread is on number 5

How often does the UA thread get put on the naughty step. What was it the baddies always used to say on the scooby do csrtoons"I would have gotten away with it if it wasn't got those pesky kids"I reckon we would be on thread 10 or more if there wasnt a lockdown every other day; o) j/k

It makes me nauseous to know this is true.

.... it's a carefully crafted style - while the air may be blue in the room with the keyboard, the post is constructed with the use of the profanity > "other words" filter engaged. I takes time to master....
