PvP Fight 3v1 at the Eravate with a Mil Cobra build.

Just having fun at Eravate, the purpose of this video is show some PvP footage and because I like the song a lot, therefore, I am not proving anything at all. But, surprisingly there is a lot of experienced Cmdrs roaming the Area so I decided to give them a run for their money. Not killing anyone on the process. I was flying a stealth Cobra with Mil Armour, HRP, with dual rails and MC.
Note: when facing a wing of player all using gimbals go under silent running to give you better chance of surviving, and prioritize your target shoot he highest threat first. Do not attempt if the wing has PvP experience with fixed weapons, just jump.

I was under the impression that you can always be resolved as a contact while firing, even while in silent running. Is this true?

I haven't done any testing myself, But, ask one of your friends to see if they can keep a lock on you while firing. From my experience only fixed MC's are giving me trouble if they know how to aim.

As usual good video. I really loved when Clipper was rammed by his Asp friend :D
You saw that, I cannot believe they rammed into each other. Space is really big so I don't understand how that happened, my only explanation they were nervous since I fought the Clipper right before that fight. So he came back with buddies.

I've noticed that, at least vs. NPCs, winged battles tend to work themselves into a pattern, and two CMDRs can easily develop the same "pattern." This results in collisions.

Doesn't happen that often with more experienced CMDRs, obviously. But novice pilots, who exclusively use FA, seem to have this problem often when I'm around.

Hm, i wonder how long it will take for this thread to get derailed like the last one.

anyways, nice flying. here's hoping you keep it to the more experienced cmdrs and leave the nuggets alone :3

That really exposes the inequality between the people that take a PvP combat ship out to attack people with ships designed for anything other than PvP. It's a shame because it's really difficult for normal players to defend themselves unless they're in a wing where at least one ship is a specialist PvP combat ship. Traders, explorers and RES farmers can only run now.

FAOFF is the next training program after I have had a couple more training sessions on fixed weapons. Its the way forward

I been at the community goal and I don't see anybody. Maybe I'm logging in too late at nights. Anyways, I like to stop by at Eravate from time to time to catch predators.

I see your point is really difficult to have casual PvP encounters. You do need to be prepared for combat if you expect to win.

Excellent. Beware that FAoff with fixed is really hard to master but not impossible be prepare to have a lot of patience and don't give up.

I have been in eravate for the past 2 weeks, I have barely seen players at the nav beacon, or anywhere else. Yesterday my peak of 3 other real world people were at the nav beacon, all blasting some wanted npcs... this has been the extent of my player interaction. what am I missing?

Did you check your network settings? There are threads in the archives to teach you what to look for whenever you don't see that many Cmdrs. Or you are having instance problems.

i dont have instancing problems, I have set up static ip, and done generally everything to get my connection working. The frequency of players is just not there. Does location have anything to do with it? i'm in Canada... and obviously every single other person in space is in UK. Not talking about time, just the way the instancing works

I also have no problem jumping in with buddies. being in the same instance as them, or cqc.. so i dont know what my issue is here

I don't think your location is the problem maybe the time you play. There are a lot of Us players as well, hell when I was in Japan I never had any problems seeing other players, but I had to play odd hours, check UK time zone and that is your best shot finding players. 2000 is peak hours

That does seem odd - I've been spending nearly all of my time at Eravate lately (EST, evenings), and it's rare that I drop into the Nav. There were 5-7 ranked CMDRs flying around (not just newbies in sideys/eagles) all night long (several of which I battled ... some I lost, some I won).
