When are we going to see .....

Class 3 multi-cannons, missles, torps, rail guns ect ect. The recent changes to combat have been good ones, but the selection of weapons is still to sparse to hold intrest for long (for me). I see no earthy reason how a class 3 multi cannon would be game breaking or "overpowered". Or having class 3 missle pods. Of course I could be ignorant and there is a very good reason for the lack of these things. If so please inform me.

IIRC they said class 3 MCs would look stupid and therefore not make it into the game. We'll get more weapons and customisation options with the loot&craft update though.
 
Still waiting on my class 4 Railgun....

I know its hugely overpowered "I Win" gun. But that doesn't change the fact I want one. Lol

I don't even care if it takes 100% capacitor to use it and generates 150% heat. I just want to see what it would do to an Eagle. Lol
 
It is insane that we have huge hard-points and only one weapon to fit them.

I would like to something like having a set of two mid weapons, to go into that huge hard point. Like a double missile launcher, or double mid multi-cannons.
 
Why do FD take out all the fun? What is wrong with anything overpowering AND why is it important to make most items (Missiles, Torps, Mines, etc.) so utterly pointless!!!

I thought class 3 multicannons had been confirmed as coming soon? I too, would love to see class 3 Rails, they would look lovely on my Python.

I remember reading something like that, although there are other ways to produce a C3 multicannon without having a huge model. Take the C2 multicannon, give it 50% more ammo capacity per reload and a 50% higher rate of fire. The higher rof gives it more DPS and more power usage, the higher cap magazine negates the increase in reload breaks due to the higher rof. Job done.

Because people would come on here complaining that they got killed as soon as they were engaged. Class 3 multi's would take out cobra's, etc. in the blink of an eye

Double class 2s in a class 4 slot, double class 1s in a class 3 spot. Maybe make them fixed wepons only so they don't crash into each other if they were gimballed

What theory are you referencing ? The OP didn't put forward a theory and neither did I. So whos theory are you talking about ?
 
OP weapons will be used in PvP. ---> next we'll see moans about "nerf C4 Rail, Nerf C3 Multi, Nerf nerf nerf".
It's a :):):):)storm as from "I WANNA BIG GUN!" so from "NERF IT ITS OP!".

Bigger guns being over powered. Or the argument that 'The gun is too big'. Unfair, etc. etc.

You could say the opposite - that offering only underpowered weapons makes it pointless giving you the illusion of choice but in actual fact the choice is limited.

Not only is there limited choice of weapons but it is compounded by game mechanic limitations in thermal, WEP capacitor, limited ammo etc. I know there is a balance to be had but I don't think there is one weapon that I really enjoy in this game due to OTT limitations. The medium multi cannon is probably top of the list of an average bunch that constitutes the ED weapons list.

For example I have got an A rated Python and I have tried all sorts of weapons load outs and I can honestly say I have not found one that I am happy with and so as a consequence of this the fun level is reduced somewhat. I'm putting up with weapon mediocrity, and it's frustrating. Now I'm not saying I want a mega weapon that will literally one shot opponents but even in this ship it generally takes a while to take down smaller ships in a military strike zone. That shouldn't be the case in my opinion. The pendulum has swung too far to the side of the underpowered and the underwhelming.

We have ships with large and huge hard points, they should pack a punch and at the moment they are not doing due to the paranoia of making weapons too powerful. A bit more imagination from FD could make this possible. I don't know, make the more powerful weapons considerably more expensive by a good amount but at least put them on the shopping list so that we can aspire to them.

You know, when you stroll into the Lamborghini showroom after winning the lottery the sales guy doesn't say to you well yes you can have the V10 600bhp engine but with that the tyres will overheat, but if you upgrade the tyres then you loose 60 mph off the top speed. The formula is a simple one, more money equals less compromises.

And yes, please, a class 3 multi cannon.
