Your joke + my ears had me thinking...
[ from your video, the sped-up tones ]
There are 4 pairs of sequences paired on harmonic intervals of I-IV.
The first scale (Ebmaj) has 2 sequences, as does the fourth (F#maj).
The second & third have one scale (Emaj) for 4 sequences.
The first initial pair is 6 notes; the second to the fourth are 7 notes each:
Eb Eb Bb Bb Eb Eb
> series 1 = 6 notes
Eb Bb Bb Eb Bb Eb
E B E B B E B
> series 2 = 7 notes
B B E B B E B
C F C F F F F
>series 3 = 7 notes
C C F F C F F
C# C# F# F# C# F# F#
>series 4 = 7 notes
F# F# C# C# F# C# F#
Here's a visualization of the scales on a staff:

So now... I think some more![]()
Hi guys,
I'm back in the game from a long pause, I see the threadnought is still going strong
I've tried to piece together the various systems that are of interest to this UA/Barnacle thing so I made a little F# script to create a 3D plot of them. Not sure it is very useful but but the result is here anyway : https://plot.ly/~Nid/2/elite-dangerous-unknown-artifacts-facts/?share_key=2L3nEAxfrgWExv6Net4oxu
Plotly is quite nice and easy to use from their web site, no need for code like I did. Might be useful for some of us barnacle hunters.
Heppy hunting all, I'm on my way to check out what Pavlou Keep has to offer, it will be my first surface port docking, hope I don't crash like a red shirt in a sidewinder on his first mission![]()
This may have been brought up before but I'm only just getting into this mystery, so please excuse me if im out of place. But did anyone not notice they was no nebula backdrop and have a look at 0.24 on the horizons tralier. It clearly shows an outpost with Bardnards Loop which is (at a very quick glance) very vertical north and eastly from the Pleiades.
I'm just curious. They are calling these things Large Barnacles. Does this imply that there are small barnacles? And if not, then why not just call them Barnacles?
A short pop up from Paris to warn you that your knowledge is wrong, sorry.
Long before the chittering was discovered, all the effort has been on the Purrs, that have been analyzed and studied in any way: binary, hex, octal, and vodoo as well. And not only in the first two threads, there even was an entire thread fully dedicated to binary decoding the purrs with no avail, until it died. Then came the chittering and the morse. But the purrs analysis went on as well. DEAD END.
That said no one will prevent you to do it all again, if tou like it![]()
Conspiracy Time: Remember how long it took between him saying that and him coming back with the actual confirmation. That may, or may not, suggest that even FD with their knowledge on where to find them, needs quite a while to actually locate one.
Also: It appeared to me that we were rather dumb in interpreting the Meta Alloy mission text. I am now quite certain that "certain regions of space" always meant nebulae. What else could it mean? There are simply no other natural easily distinguishable regions in space other than nebulae.

As english is not my main language and Google Translator show me two different things:
Barnacles = Plant or Animal?
Sorry to ask!
It may or may not be useful, but Ratking and I had a good long chat about things on the live stream last night: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1MYVTlfCHRM
One of the viewers suggested that the Large Barnacles could be some refinery/industrial complex for this techno-organic species?
Actually, there are animals called barnacles, related to crab and lobster wikipedia AND there are lichen, "A lichen is a composite organism that arises from algae or cyanobacteria (or both) living among filaments of a fungus in a symbiotic relationship. The combined life form has properties that are very different from the properties of its component organisms." wikipediaAs english is not my main language and Google Translator show me two different things:

Well - a combined life form ... hmm ... meta material - one element, or alloy?

Maybe add DB as well, just in case.It also tracks and keeps copies of posts from certain users, since people want to reference those often too. For now it's just MB and Kerrash.
Permission to sell in iapodes / ngalia (tall enterprise) is given to sell
Checked a few 135-149LY bubble systems for the unknown artifact spawning, a few planets has yielded nothing yet. Returning to regular activities for a few days, half expect us to still be going raound in circles in a week most likley
Maybe add DB as well, just in case.
hello all, going to try something different, going to park my srv and wait for a barnacle to come to me, seeing as they are sentient to a degree
