Two examples of what I mean with poor mission mechanics

Mission 1 requires you to deliver documents to location X. Payment is Xcr. These are chain missions and the chain is repeating the same over and over again. In this case 4 times. Aside from the fact that they are in no way more interesting or engaging than just doing 4 of them as I don't care and there's no reason given why I should, they have the disadvantage compared to doing 4 that you do not know in advance if there's a location that requires abandoning the mission because you're not equipped for it as can be seen in the 2nd example.

Mission 2 is a kill person X variant. But it has a catch. When you return to the station they ask you to deliver confirmation to another station in another system. In this case an outpost which requires a ship that can land on M-Pads. So to cash in I'd need to either buy a Sidewinder or travel half way through the bubble to obtain a suitable ship. Of course I abandon the mission because I cannot be bothered for lousy 80,000cr to do either. And again nothing pointed to this particular problem in advance.

IMO the current state of the missions is in no way an improvement from a gaming perspective. In fact it makes it worse. While the missions are still bad gaming they are now unpredictable bad gaming.

About mission 2 in your examples.

When did you last check this ? I was looking at things the other day, in a large ship, and noticed that some missions were labelled unavailable, and upon inspecting them, it said "your ship is too large to dock at one of the stations involved in this mission" or something similar.
Which is a very recent change.

What ship were you using ?

That one was a couple of days ago. FDL.

It can? For some reason I would have sworn it had L-Pads... But the wiki says M-Pads. So you're obviously right.

Did they change that some point into the game or was it like this from the beginning? I would have bet on that.

I have no idea, lol.

but yeah, it seems to be a very recent change to missions, that will not let you accept them, if your ship is too big to dock at one of the stations involved later in the mission.

Like, one that I saw, was an assassination mission, and it didn't say anything in the briefing about docking at an outpost, but there was the message about ship too big to dock.
