KN Muscae 1 looks empty.
Magnetic poles + hill coord. + stadium coord searched and a huge noumber of POIs.

But.

This planet and the nebula around it is something to look at. I can't really describe how gorgeous this place is. At some point I felt happy just driving on it and enjoying the view and didn't really care about our tartget. Nice open plains, easy to keep up high speed. Someone might be luckier than I was. If you're close by don't miss landing here!!!
If you're tired of looking for barnacles, just stop for a moment and enjoy the beauties this game can give you. I'm sure that'll fill up your willpower to continue later.

I was there earlier and yes it is a really amazing place, since I was a little ways out I've now decided on a spontaneous exploration so I'll be away from barnacle hunting for a while (though I am coming up to a nebula so I might have a little look around just in case)

I did hear some weird noises on Pleione 4, thought it was my asp crushing under the G force, but it didn't ever sound like that.
I've found more than a dozens wreckages and alien unrelated PoI. The search continues.

On the off-chance I checked the equivalent location to Greenwich at 51.4778N 0.0015W (or possibly Kenny Everett's grave which is fairly close...) on Pleione 3A, 4 and 10C, didn't find anything. Just thinking aliens with a penchant for deconstructing Morse might choose to drop things at significant coordinates to our lat/long system.

You can turn them off now. Just to into your Control settings there you can select that looking at the panels no longer pops them up.
The UI drives me crazy in VR. I have a button mapped so that when I'm holding it the UI doesn't pop up, but I wish it had a toggle mode.

And to those asking why nebulae - it's quite logical if you think about it :)

I don't know whether this has been suggested already - but perhaps the barnacles could be the source of the nebula's dust/gases?

So I've just had my game crash (completely freeze) while on Pleiades Sector DL-Y D65 1, coordinates 3.5595, -80.6319 - heading 114

Edit: finally got this error message:

Can we start a petition to have the description of meta alloys changed to remove the "common in some parts of space" bit about Barnacles yet?

I'm on Pleione 4 as well.
This place is by far the strangest/creepiest most alien'esque planet I've been on in the last 3 days.

They have to be massive to do something like that tho.
I mean, star sized massive.

In alternative they can be in huge numbers everywhere. And they clearly are not.

Well, after covering at least 0.01% of the Taygeta 4 today ( the planet is beautiful and covered in a purple mist ) I'm calling it a night. The high G on the planet made for an interesting flight and made my asp crack and buckle on every turn, fun! ( I know it's technically not in the nebula... but hey ). Good luck commanders o7.
