Hello everyone!
First of all - sorry for my bad english :)

I'd like to get some sort of statistic how much original backers or Season 1 players still here since ED release and how much new customers has come since Horizons landed.

I myself bought ED in early February 2015, after 1.1 released already. Playing with breaks like 3 weeks playing 1-2 months not playing.
Bought Horizons on 30th Dec and now waiting for my MSI GTX970 Gaming GPU.

I backed the product on kickstarter at release level and am still playing now: at least, as much as I can with a family to look after. I think the only time I took a break from the game was when I went out of the bubble and then realised I'd have to spend hours travelling back to populated space.

Yeah, people play since the start.
And why people don't come? Cause there is only a grind gameplay, without conquest/colonisation or any Sandbox... Or any PVP, or any multiplayer interaction.

People don't come on the game, and nobody care, cause most of actual people on the forum are 84's guys and they just want a poor copy of the original game.

I've been playing about 3 1/2 months. I bought it during the Steam sale at the end of September. The talk was all about the upcoming CQC and the 1.4 update. Things were moving really fast at the time. They seem to have slowed down now.

It's a little frayed around the edges, but overall, a good game.

Beta backer here. I don't play ED regulary these days. I just read the forums to keep me updated...
I'm basically waiting for something to do in our universe. I've seen everything and have no incentive
to play atm. :(

Will keep an eye on this one..........the Horizons Newcomer seems rather empty. If this game is to survive on new clients.....then......erm........

This is a rather pointless poll. I'm sure FD have plenty of data on who bought what when, and who is still playing, and trying to gather such statistics on a forum which inevitably only attracts a minority of customers isn't going to get very far. All it is likely to achieve is the usual circular arguments about what the inevitably-flawed data means. And I can tell you now what it means - nothing significant, since self-selected samples from a source which is certain to be unrepresentative in the first place tell you nothing.

As I understand it (can't find a link), FD released details of sales in a shareholders' report last year - and they will presumably be doing the same thing this year. Why not wait for meaningful data?

Sales figures do not answer the ops question. I am sure many have bought the game after seeing the trailers then promptly stopped playing.

I played for almost a year but haven't played for 2 months. Same as others just check forums to see if it will improve. I can't see the game advancing for the next Couple of years. Yes there are more mechanics but no purpose.

Spending the time playing other games at the moment but if you still enjoy elite good for you.

Consider it a poll more about forum attendance than ownership. So far this poll is showing that the beta/kickstarter crowd checks the forum more frequently than the newer arrivals. I find that quite interesting. :) I joined in beta and still check the forum every day, despite only playing the game once or twice a week. It shows the longevity of the game! Maybe newer users are using the Steam forums instead?

Not everyone cares to visit a games official forums.

+1 to you.

I had played every week since alpha days except for the last couple of weeks as I am starting to wonder if the direction of the game is not for me or if I should just wait for something interesting to crop up in the game.

The forums are interesting though.

Alpha backer here. Play in fits and spurts from time to time. Not played since Decemebr, but I'm not removing the game from my SSD. I check the forums more or less daily

I had my eye on this game for a long time before I bought it. I had to wait till I built my gaming rig. I've played for about 6 months now. Probably play around 10 hours a week. Its been a slow and steady adventure, I love it. Got a vulture and a Cobra and around 100million assets. The Vulture is my bounty hunting killer. The Cobra is my trader/explorer.

Started back in Feb 2015. Play just about every day. Over 10 weeks game time so far. Cobra, Asp, Python and T9.
