Update Unofficial Alpha news for beta backers

I just came looking for this thread to update it with the alpha 3.4 news - forums are busy for this to have slipped to page two within the day. :p

thanks Pecisk for the update. is there any fix log that indicates the bugs that have been fixed in this build - apart from the aforementioned station disappearances? ta

From Mike, that's all that's been done on 3.4 (net stability with regard to the station).

However we do know that in the main trunk gears are now controls assignable and that multi-function keys do not interfere their functionality between uses (e.g panel management and power management keys).

so...

is it alpha 3.4 truly more stable ? are the testing going well ?

any little news available for the poor impatient beta friends ??? :p

For lot of people me myself included 3.4 is truly more stable. Very few crashes, and having a constant stable gameplay, so I finally started to get some NPC kills going for getting Cobra.

Space station is just so much better and stable, it usually has 4 - 12 people there. Only scenario mostly not working is federal bonds one with fed ship - there's lot of strange things going on there, starting from latency ridden NPCs and ending with multiple fed ships rotating and jumping around.

Free for all and Endless war works quite well if you ask me. Latency is still there, but I can get my kills, and hits, and overall it's enjoyable expierence.

Bear in mind there are some people seeing regressions, so I can vouch only for overall direction judging from feedback in Alpha forums - with mine experience included. But 3.03 and 3.04 has improved things a lot so FD seems to getting network code under control.

Nice and Stable

Yes for me 3.4 has been relatively stable loads of uber smooth uncrashless gameplay. Occasional bugs still present like the multiple dancing Impeccables and mysterious invisible object that occasionally destroys you as you fly away from Port Zelada. I am now a rich part-time pirate. I made an Anaconda spew its guts out today, took me over half an hour to scoop up all the cargo!

"Uncrashless", priceless!
