It has been tested to ofrend some slaves; no luck so far. Maybe they are "shiptarians"

Other CMDRs nearby? Maybe a case of accidental impact damage?
This is actually the same planet as the Anaconda wreck: Pleiades Sector JC-U B3-2 1. interesting.
Coordinates are good and not too far from the Conda.
I had my shields up (until they got destroyed by the unknown damage) also ramming doesn't damage modules afaik
I don't know if this is a common bug or not but when I was at the barnacle site I suddenly received module damage on everything after a while. And it wasn't even slowly dealing damage. I also have a recording of it thanks to shadowplay, but before I go trough the trouble of uploading it I wanna know if it's a known bug or something to do with the barnacle. I also had no cargo with me or didn't use silent running and was standing still so heat and corrosion are out of question.
I spent some time at the barnacle in Mobius earlier. It might be a normal flight mechanic, but when I left the site I was scanned (assume by the barnacle) and then shortly after my ship engines all switched off and i'm frozen looking down on the site. Then I hear it singing to me, similar noises to the UA. I haven't done much planet based stuff so is this normal or is it the barnacle? I was carrying a meta alloy but no UA. It happened several times and I could restart my engines after a pause.

Anyone else seen this or similar?

They emit rays of light in shadow/darkness:

I can't believe it, I'm so angry right now. I spent 65 million hours playing in Super Special Oyster Mode and absolutely no Barnacles.
I can't believe after all this time I should've been actually playing the game.

That looks like something glowing under a protective outer covering. I wonder if we can open it.
