The most interesting thing is that the Barnacle at the Conda wreck site was alone, no spikes.

The interesting thing to me is that when I first went to the Conda.. it wasn't there. And then at some point everyone started talking about it there after I logged for a bit. Going back to see this now.

So, in Solo to avoid the blockade and no barnacles at:

It's on MEROPE 5 C
-026.3496°
-156.4044°
0.18G

I am literally sitting on that exact spot... nothing. I'll trying logging in/out and open play.....

I had similar issues when i first got on. I heard that theres issues with poi's loading from the transaction server or something, i have no idea. I set the Elite exe to allow in my firewall (not the launcher, the actual exe in the AppData folder), then relaunched the game and tried and it worked. No idea if the relaunch fixed it or if the firewall thing fixed it or both. Worth a try though, good luck!

Question for MB regarding other Nebula

Alright MB

If you are still paying attention....I know you can't give out much clues about the origins or what not, but can you at least say whether or not they are in other Nebula, or is it just the Pleiades?

Being that it spawn for everyone in open show it is not a randomly placed one, but a persitent fixed one.

From the date Michael said he checked to make sure they were to be found in game, I asked where and how he checked this info. He never replied, and all of us who spent their time in solo simply wasted hundred if not thousands of hours. Can't see why you are defending such behaviour.

You won't get far with this attitude in this thread. Far too many white knights who will defend the most crippling of bugs in this game.

I am at a Barnacle in Pleiades Sector JC-U B3-2 1 21.91 / 96.97. Night time here. There's a green glowing mist when your close to it, and little blue sprites that float around. It also makes thrumming sounds if you park right next to it and just wait.

im thinking that these Barnacles are smaller versions of the ones from the trailer. on the trailer pic, the SRV lights only light up the very base of it. to me, it looks like its 100+ft high.
perhaps, the ones that were 'placed' by FD are the bigger ones.

With the barnacles now seemingly more common, I'm considering retiring my survey data page. We basically achieved what we set out to do with it, though I think the organization we have achieved across all our efforts should be maintained for the next stage of the mystery, which appears to be taking us to Barnard's Loop, or possibly the Orion Nebula.

Barnard's Loop is a huge area of space. The Pleiades is just a handful of systems by comparison. I'm going to wait on more solid data before I do anything further. I will hang on to my planetary survey resources so that we can organize another one should the need arise. I think it can be useful - though I don't know how much it may have contributed to the Barnacle mystery.

so i'm on me way back in to the aria after a quick detour.. decided to bring some guns an whatnot this time... just in case ;P... tho I have yet to run afoul of the 'blocade' mayhap it's because i'm bombing about in a ship not exactly reguarded as an 'exploration ship' that might cause some grief to goons just out to squash a few bugs.. anyway: anybody red into that Galnet report about the 'mysterious transmission' of unknown origin but is guestimated to have originated some 23 LY from Obsidian? Now that the barnacles have been found finaly with some degree of regularity, that bubble has popped.. mayhap i'll scout about for the origin of this transmission an see what that's about...

And in open they were magically there!!!! Who also is there are the griefers - who blew up my Asp after I epically destroyed my SRV during an epic backflip in said SRV. My 2nd attempt I started too short and hit the barnacle and BAM... bet I'm the first to blow up my SRV ON a Barnacle!! At least I stopped at O.O. and as I needed a new SRV - the destruction cost me a couple hundred grand (nothing to me) but SAVED me a flight back to OO for a new SRV. so... take that griefers!!!! ;)
