Now that's a quite leap in deduction...
I thought the Antares was prototype ship for the FSDs used currently. Remember, it was 50 years ago it disappeared.
Sorry, I can't speak to that personally. The DK2 came with alternate, shorter lenses to give people room for glasses, and theoretically I think everything should work the same as long as the lenses aren't knocking together. I would definitely say try whichever headset you want before committing though (with ED if possible), so I don't lead you astray...
There are actually three there, very close to each other!

So at this point, noone has found any other sites in other nebulas, right? I'm in Orion and I'm flitting around various systems to have a look, but planets are quite big, and I've yet to come across anything other than the usual gold guarded by seekers, and a downed satellite - quite what they're doing out there is anyone's guess (ingame - obviously we know why they're there.), but I'll keep looking for a little longer before I come on home and make a few credits with the exploration data.
It would be nice if the story was helped on a bit, giving us some indiction we're not wasting our time - no coords, just something...

The antares was a prototype for applying current FSD drives to extremely large ships.
Capital ships still use the previous technology due to that incident.
If you're hunting the blue POIs that pop up I wouldn't.. We haven't had any appear that way yet (doesn't meant they won't though, but they'll be astonishingly rare if so). They're likely to be permanent POIs that have been placed procedurally around the different nebulae. Worth practicing spotting the ones on Pleiades Sector JC-U b3-2 2 so you can hone your eyeballs to help find them. Find those mineral deposits on the surface from orbit and then head down to each area and scour it as best as you can..
You speak of humanity as it would be a single faction like unity. I find that amusing. Just look of us. Hopefully though, if faced with overwhelming threat, we would forget our disputes?

Yes, I did the first time it happened. The SRV dropped and took damage from falling, and the ship dismissed it's self. It took ages to dismiss, but then came back fine on re-summoning.
Maybe try whacking any old Defence Party of Indi members?

For those of us not so near that sector of space, would you be so kind as to do a couple of From Orbit screen shots of some of the Pleides Locations, and maybe Rizel would be kind enough to put them on the front page... A PM would be ultra nice, as things get lost so quickly.

I second that. I've seen the one on Merope but none of the others. So far have they all been in the same type of light sandy colored deposit?
