I've decided to move on from Sgr A* and head to the following waypoint. The last system I found near Sgr A* with interesting features was STUEMEAE XJ-A d7976, which has numerous moons in close orbits, either with their host planet or each other. I might add a couple of screenshots to one of the photography threads, later, but not here. Although I did not find every very rare material on every world I landed on (and there are many more that I did not land on at all), I nevertheless found every jumponium material except Yttrium in this system. If someone else finds that as well, then this would be another green mark on the map.
.
As to the location of the next waypoint: I have no idea which system is the target, which is why I've given NYUENA LD-A d1-139 A 5 A as being so far from Sgr A*: this might be a possible location for the next waypoint. This world is the only moon of an Earth-like World and is the only landable body in the system (which has, incidentally, already been tagged). This system should be reachable by everyone in the expedition as it does not require a 34+LY range to reach. My 34LY Asp has been able to get to over 2500LY upwards from Sgr A* but some ships in the fleet may require jumponium to match this feat and it would seem unfair to ask them to use their materials for reaching the waypoint. Those who want to can go higher. I did not have much luck finding rare materials on NYUENA LD-A d1-139 A 5 A and the only ingredient for jumponium I found was Germanium, so it might not be the best choice in that regard. I may not be able to play again until next weekend, when I shall look out for other interesting worlds in this region that might be a better option.
Fly and drive safe!

Heads up for those needing mats who are on their way to or already at the Lagoon waypoint: Lagoon Sector IH-V C2-6 is an almost complete one-stop-shop. Between its planets and moons, it has every boost mat except for Arsenic, and I haven't yet finished prospecting the moons so I might yet find that common mat.

I've updated my inventory viz with the latest merged log data: http://ayashi.net/elite/edh-planetmats.html

Found one on the way between 48 Upsilon Sagittarii and Thor's Eye.

1186.78 LY from NGC 6530 WFI 16706Droju MT-K c11-4A 2 A (Rocky) (0.18g) (197.68 LS)Cadmium, Niobium, Yttrium

Just made home, it's 1.00 AM here and I come from a busy day, but promised to update it, so I'll work on it now. Probably my language will be disconnected, bear with me.
First thing an Announcemt:
WP01 PROSPECTING IS CLOSE, THE FLEET IS MOVING TOWARD WP02
I won't sploilerize it for now, becouse I still accept OUTSTANDING PLANETARY FEATURES FOR IT.

FLEET MEMBERS ARE REQUESTED TO MOVE TOWARD WP02. If somebody spots an outstanding surface features while passing by the submission will be accepted:

IMPORTANT NOTICE:
Some submitters are giving me only systen name, planet number and mats founds, but i ask a little more data. It's all written in OP, please everybody read the OP before submitting
I will do my best to accept impartial data too, but if you like me and want to be even more usefull for the community please take the little effort I'm asking:

Distance from POI : it's important so fleet members with time will have system to prospect close to each other. If the surface feature is outstanding i can overlook this.
Every Main Star in system (only the first letter is fine, G is fine, G2 V is not necessary) this gives the planets and moons name a sense, also it's better to know if the arrival point is scoopable or it's a dangerous NS or something. And lastly, with this info, dedicated scientist might have little use of the list to do deeper researches that are not requested here.
Planet Type: we cannot be completly sure that mats are 100% random. If it will turn out that metallicity or so change the rng, without this info the list will be useless in a split second. It's too early to be sure of anything. I'm not asking metallicity, but please planet type might turn out to be important
Planet G: it is very important to know beforhand, since many fleet members as have decided to avoid High G worlds, and if they are unsure on how to land on them, that's a wise decision.
Distance from entry point in LS if all the mats are in a system, but i have to supercruise 500,000LS to get Polonium, maybe it's better I go in another system already
No premium boosts: I ask only jup mats, but if the very rare is different from Yttrium and Polonium tell us, so no further attempt to look for them will be made.

If you think about it, it's really the bare minimu requirement for practicality, and it doesn't have nothing to do with !!Science!!.

I'll start updating now, half asleep that is

hey im on x box, i spent hours last night detail scanning in the Lagoon Nebula. here are some potential base camps for the Horizons DW fleet
Lagoon Sector TJ-Q B5-7
Lagoon Sector TJ-Q B5-6
Lagoon Sector GW-W D1-148 *First discvered by Dr. Who and Cepha Lopod (must be important)
Lagoon Sector FW-W D1-126 *Trinary with plenty of airless moons
Lagoon Sector GW-W d1-132 *WATER WORLD MOON!

on a side note check out LKHA 115 near Lagoon for a triple black hole system with a twist! one of them is just within the B types scoop zone! Heat becomes a problem if you drop in on it, took some heat damage when low waking away from the black hole inside a stars corona!

Thanks a lot W33dkiller! Unfortunately here we are interested only in prospecting jump materials and planetary surface features. Also all the basecamp have already been chosen! Keep that data for cartogrphy threads or your spreadsheet, you will find many more amazing things! repped

Hey Ranualf! thanks a lot for the data, but I am alittle confused about the distances! Every different POI will have a distance, it will not all be calculated from Pallaeni. Also for surface features I'd asc a pic. will bring those but add tomorrow, thanks a lot and repped

I found an amazing crater on a Metal Rich planet not far from Waypoint 1:

272.85ly from Shapley 1

Praea Euq VO-I D9-57

K-Class Star

Praea Euq VO-I D9-57 1 (Metal Rich) (0.08g) (21.32ls from Jump In point)

Unknown Jump Mats types; A Very Large crater (Haven't calculated Radius/Diameter yet) is present at the planet, the Rim of the crater extends vertically 2km at a very steep angle (From a flyby it seems untraversable by SRV, you must fly inside the crater) all the way around the perimeter of the crater, followed by steep drop that goes 12.3 km from rim to basin. The terrain at the bottom of the crater is very rough, and It might be difficult for a CMDR in an Anaconda to land (I had trouble landing in an Asp Explorer), but the view is worth it, in my opinion.

Upon Decent to the planet:
Getting closer, the Rim is visible now:
The view from the basin of the crater:

Well worth the visit for that view, and hey, maybe it has some usable jump mats too!

CMDR Dalgin

That's really amazing!!!!!! I'm too tired to tell you how I'm amazed!
For now it's better I go to sleep, the amount of data is starting to be insane, but tomorrow will ad ASAP and immediatly let erimus know

Update will go on tomorrow

Look at all the prospecting being done! Brings a tear to my eye :)

I think one of these is a duplicate. I've been bad at using Trello until now, I'll be the first to admit it. I've been looking at it and at the database to see if someone is in a system already, but with the sheer amount of people that are now prospecting in close proximity I strongly encourage everyone to start using it so we don't do double the work. I will now be adding every system that I'm prospecting to the board. Very very useful! :)

The "Rock-Rats" have had a busy day smashing their heads towards some unwilling planets. After the findings of CMDR Ziljan we decided to test out a T-Tauri system.
Alas, after long and hard work, the precious jumponium mats were not to be found. The findings were so consistently not favourable that we left the outermost planet with it's moons alone.
However CMDR Baroness Galaxy have been prospecting on a promising system and we decided to help out there. Turns out it is very good.

Now here might be a golden tip for those of you looking to find materials: WING UP AND GO TOGETHER ON THE PLANET. It seems that the more you are together, the easier it is to find the rarer materials. If you find yourself spending a long time searching for rare materials, relog or reinstance going SC and come back again. Doing this you will almost be guaranteed finding the stuff you are looking for within a reasonable timeline.

Good tips, Anuranium. The closer we get to Beagle Point the more important this work becomes, especially if we're going to assist our lesser fortuned ships, e.g. the T-9 and such through.

Also what I really like is people are getting more and more into the Prospectors Teamspeak channel.

We were with 5-8 people at some point and the ball just starts rolling from then on. The prospecting talks I had with the rock rats were very interesting, you learn a lot, and you easily help each other out by being on voice. So having multiple prospector wings is imo the way to go. Even w/o voice it can work ofc, but every now and then you get awesome interactions.

Lagoon Sector JH-V c2-11 has 6 more planets to get scanned and if I find Polonium its a green system ! So more coming soon I hope.

Update: 8G makes this system GREEN.
Thanks a lot to the Rock Rats for their help !
Winging up for prospection is HIGHLY advised and I'm loving it and teaming up with them is awesome fun.
They are great at what they do.

This may have gotten lost in the new posts but we did find a GREEN system last night in the Lagoon Sector. See above.

Ok due to Akiri's comments I also realised I didn't post all usefull results so far.

So for completeness, here is the full overview of the green system Lagoon Sector JH-V c2-11

@Akiri is it better I post full jumponium system results (so all jumponium planets) in the future ? So far I left out the ones that only contained one or two. Also, you can copy/paste this easy, but I did add 4 columns you did not ask for since they might be usefull to show.

The column "Missing" indicates how many and which type of materials can still be found on the planet since often not everything is found and we sometimes move on because boosts are not possible anymore or we got tired or whatever. I also did not finish prospecting on planets 8 F (or 6 A) since it was green already anyway. The J1/2/3 not sure if usefull. I put the columns at the end if it bothers you I can drop them easily if it helps jeuj :)

For those who want, you can copy my sheet https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1ePFv6u8Qs7klS5MgUTTvWC07k-P4VS0kDInomvRkqAE/edit?usp=sharing and use it for yourself. It now also auto-generates this table above in the "Forum export" tab (it also generates an optional Trello dump format in the main tab if you want). I realise several are using their own sheet and this stuff is just optional and that's fine, but maybe some people would like to try it out because they struggle with logging the forum posts and if this helps them why not.

Ok, made the first update, another is incoming.
I don't know if I'll have time to reply to each of you.
If your entry didn't make it, it either was not necessary or complitly missed the rules stated in OP, especially systems posted between pois will be ignored, unless they have OUTSTANDING superficial features.

Thanks a lot, that system is great!!!!
You can submit only the planets rich in jump mats. OFC if a planet has only Arsenic, but that makes the system green, it's important, just to make an example.

Hi Akira,
just as a clarification please: Do you only want premium-boost-planets? If yes, I will no longer submit any other planets, even if they have Niobium or standard-boost-mats.

No, you can submit planets without premium boost. OFC filter hammer might kick in if there are already better systems nearby

Great work. Unfortunatly i see yttrium and polonium colums empty, so i've skipped this entry.

And yes, as already suggested wing prospecting is the more efficient methods.
With all side activities i have in the forum I can only (hopefully) jump and honk to next WP, so i'll do my best to collide data here but unfortunatly I probably will have time to do prospecting myself.

Thanks, I'll try my luck finding Polonium on that one later today, since I'm only 200ish LY above Sag A.

After 2 hours and 13 met. meteorites finally 1st Polonium. Also there is Tungsten, you missed it, but who cares.

I hate prospecting.
