SRV fueling.

I would be really happy if fueling our cars from the ship, with ships fuel, could be an option. It is really cool that stuff you find can be used to improve performance on different things.
Also that it can be used to fuel the car.
But when I'm out driving , it is the driving it self and looking at the landscape, and such that interests me.
Not looking for stuff on the ground.
Thus I would very much like to be able to tank up from the ship, with ships fuel.
We are able to fuel the ships directly from the stars; it should not be a problem that the car could use that same fuel, as well as the fuel we can make from stuff we pick up from the ground.

True, the SRV should really be refueled from the fueltank when docked.

Indeed, I was really surprised that this isn't possible. I'm not interested in the mats either and it's nice to find some, but hunting fuel to be able to continue to hunt fuel is a bit daft... Although it seems that after a while you have enough stuff to last you a while. But still, why make it extra difficult to drive the SRV?

I agree. I think that the SRV should not be able to auto-repair when you come back to the ship though. It seems more logical to be able to refuel it than being able to repair without any material/equipement whatsoever...
Moreover, if you're running out of fuel, you're doomed, but if your hull is really low you can survive, driving carrefully while looking for materials to repair...

Well, I'm VERY glad you need to fuel the SRV, that wasn't the original plan. It is possibly the wrong way round, that you get auto repair but not auto refuel. However, are we sure it's actual the fuel you're replacing .. hydrogen is relatively easy to come by ... catalysts for fuel cells (phosphorous\sulphur?) might be a different matter?

Agree, they have it backwards at the moment and it make it tedious for the sake of it.

Should auto-refuel when going back to the ship, even optionally when underneath the hatch (offer similar option to the ability to transfer cargo).
Don't auto-repair in ship, only repair as part of paid ship repair when back at a station.

I'm 15k ly away from home.

Been looking for sulphur and phosphorus on icy, rocky, metal-rich, and more, bodies. Found a little carbon, iron and few other minerals only. My SRV is running out of fuel.
This is ridiculous.
