Hi all,

Just a very quick message to let you know that we've fixed a minor bug with the bounty CG in Arawere.

The CG was meant to accept all imperial bounties. This is now the case. In light of this we've adjusted the tiers.

Did you increase the tier requirements because now it is more effective to contribute, or did you decrease them because it was to ineffective before?
 
I'm very scared about your concept about the term "minor".

In the software development world, if something doesn't stop users from using the software, its not usually a major issue. Since this one didn't affect a majority of players, then its easy to to see how its classified as a minor bug.

Or maybe he is referring to it being a minor bug from a technical standpoint. Once devs spotted the problem it took them 2 seconds to fix. ;)
 
Dose this mean past contributions to the CG may getting watered by now accepted Imp bounties or any mitigation is done to the past contributions?
I'm currently off from Sol like 1000ly for exploration after doing this BH CG some days ago and not going back soon.

Nevertheless any fix is better than a bug to be left.
 
I know I haven't been in the bubble in almost a year, but what is a "CG"? Thanks.

A CG is a Community Goal, events set up by FD for us wherein we have specific goals to accomplish to 'activate' the CG, which means the first tier of rewards will be payed out, and then further goals which increase the tiers of the rewards.

These events can be to bring cargo to a specific station, like the recent CG that asked for a rare good, Presents, to be delivered to a station a short distance away, under 200LY, and based on the amount of Presents delivered, new players got a new starter ship. That CG reached a high enough tier that new players got a Viper Mk IV.

Here lately they've had 2 CGs going at once, one for cargo and another for bounties, with the bounties being a 'help protect the cargo haulers' bit that allows combat oriented players to also participate in the CG.

Problem was it was spotted by the community as soon as we started handing in Combat Bonds...last week! Another testing fail for FD, really baffles me why they don't have a thorough Testing Check-list tick box before or as soon as CGs are made public.

Edit: that's not to say I'm not thankful of course I am, just wish these simple things were picked up much earlier rather than right at the end.

Looks like the Onion head CG will also fail. The Onion head spawn rate is attrocious. Keeps going to 1 and staying there for a while.

The tiers were decreased (It's easier to achieve) because people were unable to hand in certain types of bonds for a lot of the CG.
