Help Wanted:

Sidewinder Commander (henceforth called the "Crazy Nutter") seeks help with the location and extraction of components for Jumponium.

The successful candidate(s) for this position will be required to find and extract jumponium components using their own SRV on low G airless worlds at the far side of the galactic core (with regards to SOL). The jumponium components will then be collected by the "Crazy Nutter" while flying his Sidewinder with cargo scoop engaged.

Length of Contract:
The contract will run until one of the following occurs:
- the contract is terminated by the "Crazy Nutter"
- the contract is terminated by the candidate
- the following jumponium components are successfully collected:
96 vanadium, 60 germanium, 48 cadmium, 54 niobium, 20 arsenic, 20 polonium, 20 yttrium
- the "Crazy Nutter" crashes and burns

Selection Criteria:
- Own spaceship with SRV capable of finding and extracting jumponium components
- Knowledge of how/where to find jumponium components
- Intestinal fortitude, in the event that the "Crazy Nutter" crashes and burns before your eyes

Compensation:
- if successful, entry into the history books and a life-time supply of Lavian Brandy
- if unsuccessful, the undying (or dying) gratitude of the "Crazy Nutter"

We should probably do this before or after crossing the Abyss. It would involve at least prospecting and finding 1-2 green systems before and a considerable ammount of time gathering the mats. 2-3 gatherers would be of help with you hopping from one to another to scoop. Maybe the Rock-Rats can help you while we are prospecting there. I have already stated my assistance to you before :)

Thanks Cmdr...yes, that is what I had in mind. Will take some time to collect all the mats so the more "rock rats" the merrier.

Just make sure myself, Ravenov, Baroness Galaxy, Absolver, and Anuranium (Rock Rats)are on your friends list. We've found two Green systems near the Lagoon nebula and will most likely find more on the way out. We've been operating in Kamzel.

"Rock Rats" is a name Anuranium created for a group of us that have been prospecting. I'm sure there are many more wings out there as well.

At least the guys I prospected with (CMDRs Anuranium, Baroness Galaxy, Myshka) for the last 2 days were calling themselves so.:D

I have one problem at the moment my game time is going to diminish between now and April as I have an exam then ( I'm far too old to be taking exams but..) and have to get some revision done. (that's why I left early on DW)

I'll check my relative position to you tonight and see if we can come up with a rendezvous somewhere convenient for the both of us.

Edit: I'm 11kly west of you


(I have yet not managed to get the in game voice chat working which is probably essential for an undertaking as this - any tips?)

As Iron Orchid states below...you will have to catch up with me. I am currently 43KLY from SOL, moving into the Scutum-Centaurus Arm. However, I can head in your direction when you guys get closer.

I hear ya Cmdr...I am always finding ways to do exams many decades after school has finished.

Anyway, maybe you could just help me refine the "capture" technique (learning how to pick up components on the fly...pun intended). That way you wouldn't have to spend a great amount of time with me, just one session as I see if this is even feasible.

Let me know what system you were in last and I will make a bee-line in that direction. And if you see my 'Far Rim in a Sidey" thread the last galactic image shows you my last location. We can try and meet somewhere in the middle.
