23 Delta Piscis Austrini is WAY too far from Nanomam to make military supplies practical

We are not preparing 23 Delta Piscis Austrini for expansion. We are opposing Patreus' expansion into 23 Delta Piscis Austrini.

I don't understand any of the bumf about what we're supposed to do to help ZH other than the list of systems to fortify and prepare. I'm jumping from one link to another, but there's too many words to confuse us. Where are the combat zones where we can earn 10 merits a kill without getting bounties on us? That's all many of us want to know.

[h=2]Military Strikes[/h]Here is an excellent primer on operating in a Military Strike/Security Operation/Combat Zone.
If you need Combat Expansions for merits there is Military Strikes in Muncheim though as usual the unstoppable tide of military might that is the Hudson Hordetm have already carried the day. We need your guns to help oppose the Patreus expansion into 23 Delta Piscis Austrini so make your mark in OPERATION RETRIBUTION (see Priority four). Wing up where possible and switch your comms to Federal channels to join in the teamspeak and on xboxlive.

Again, that's too much information, which I find confusing. If I understand the first bit, there's a combat zone at Muncheim, but that's no good for ZH because goals have already been achieved. Is there one at 23 Delta Piscis Austrini, before I waste my time flying over there. I don't have a FSD interdictor, so I can't hook anybody out of SC. All I want to know is where to go, not who's smiling at who or how to kill enemy ships. I only play this account in solo.

I'm not sure how much you know, so quick recap in basic general terms.

Military Strikes: No FSD required. Combat zones that pay merits instead of money. 10 merits/kill.
Even if the goal is complete, you're not harming the power by continuing the military strikes. Everyone needs to build their merits.
There's only one or two of these locations each week. Maybe none. Depends on how the power performed during the week.

Undermining: FSD required. Can be done anytime and in any enemy's controlled space. Not Winters, she's a fed too.
Pull specific ships out of SC, blow them up. 30 merits each.
The ships will have these types of descriptions instead of the usual NPC name, depending on which power you're undermining in.
Cargo ships:
Imperial Supply
Imperial Support
Private Security
Alliance Bureaucrat
Campaign
Sirius Transports
Crew Transports
Reform

Military ships to blow up:
Shield of Justice
Patreus Sentinal
Torval's Shield
Alliance Enforcer
Aisling Guardian
Sirius Security
Kumo Crew Watch
Utopian Overseer

The reason it's getting complicated is because on reddit the guys/gals are trying to set up strategies that specify specific targets, in specific regions, for specific reasons.
The lists are concise, and get complicated only if you want to know the reasons behind the listed targets.

Greetings, Ive been preparing some un-controlled systems near me in Hanggardi, ive also been fortifying Hanggardi. Its all do-able as im only 72LY from Nanomam. Pray tell how i can get these bonds to further my ratings progress? Im currently Rating 2 and almost prepared for Rating 3 this coming cycle end, but all i have been doing is prep and fort. What else can i do? Thanks

Derr... just read up....but i have to go to non fed controlled systems to get the merits on a kill.?

Yes, I understand all that. I just want to know where to go for military strikes to get 10 merits per kill. Is Muncheim the only place? The information on these combat zones is really poor. People are always asking in the main forum where to go because, like me, they can't understand all the indirect references to them. I'm sure it would benefit ZH if we could just have a simple list of which systems to fortify, prepare, undermine and expand in a simple instruction like:

This is what we want you to do this week:

1 Carry reinforcement supplies from Nanomam to X, Y, Z, etc. systems. Do not carry any to systems A, B, C, etc.
2 Collect intel from X, Y, X, etc. systems and take it to a ZH control system of your choice.
3. Go to systems, X, Y, etc., find the combat zone that's near wherever and kill the opposition.
4, Go to systems X, Y, Z, etc., hook designated opposition ships out of supercruise and kill them.

You can add all the strategy talk afterwards for those that want to try and understand it. The information provided is not very clear as an instruction. I'm not surprised that people keep reinforcing and preparing the wrong systems.

Don't get me wrong. I like all the efforts to make powerplay more realistic and immersive. I would like them to continue, but it hides what you actually want us to do. I've been studying it all for several hours, and I've nearly figured it all out. I bet many people give up after the first 5 minutes or less. The basic clear instruction should be separate and the first thing people see when they click on the ZH page in the main forum. That's if you want them to do what you want, or do we have double agents preparing the info to deliberately confuse ZH followers so that they do the wrong thing?

The only double agents we have are the 5th column, do not concern yourselves with them.

The information in the stickies (the top two posts on our reddit) are exactly what the organised player groups that make up Hudson need doing this cycle.

In the simplest terms for what you (D8veh) want to do: there is a Military Strike in 23 Delta Piscis Austrini. It is a Patreus Military Strike. Go there, side against Patreus (right panel/systems/choose faction) and kill the opposing side over and over again as you would in a Hudson Military Strike. Make sure you hand in your merit in a Hudson control system.

You can also find this information ingame in the Galactic Powers/Denton Patreus/Expansions/How to Oppose :)

Thank you. :) You will find the Cycle 34 priorities more to your needs. It is simpler and covers things more the way you prefer. ie: Military Strikes.

Good Hunting!

Left-hand panel, powerplay, look in the 'expansion' tab, it should list which systems are available.
If it only lists Muncheim, then that's the only place this week.

Except Muncheim is done, we're opposing Patreus in 23 Delta Piscis Austrini now. ;)

Even though it has succeeded with 31,000%, merits are gained there.
To oppose someone else's expansion, is this done by:
Undermining?
Military strikes?
As in, how do we poor schmucks earn merits in this particular scenario?
*Edit* Found this table, if i'm reading it right, when an Empire power wishes to expand, military strikes are created, where we can go and fight for merits.
Am I reading this right?

Against Empire powers like Patreus & ALD which have combat expansions we can just conveniently go into the military strike / crime sweep zones and side against the Empire. For Aisling & Torval we would have to undermine the system they are expanding into (that would also work for Patreus & ALD expansions btw).
So this cycle just go to military strikes in 23 Delta Piscis Austrini and choose the opposing faction in the zone. Would be safer & faster in a wing of course (you can go to our Teamspeak for that).
