Alpha doesn't end the 25th of April, they'll just stop selling access at that date. Supposedly we'll get more information about beta ( maybe some rough estimate as to when we might see it) this week, nothing yet though.

I would most probably upgrade Premium Beta to Alpha before 25th since it seem to help FD as I understand reading this forum.
A bit short atm with computer upgrade & rent/electricity/gas billing.

Obviously you alphas have way too much time on your hands, smalltalking with a measly beta brigadier... Just keep practicing. We'll be there soon enough.

I'm an alpha but go easy on me I TRULY suck at dogfighting...am pretty good at asteroid pinball tho not missed on yet...oh wait that's not a good thing is it

I was beta, but upgraded to alpha about a week ago. Glad I did, too.
But do I care if someone is alpha, beta, gamma or final user? Nope. Just enjoy the game.

Pun aside, there is no hidden animosity here. This poll is just an excuse to invite the WHOLE family 'round for a quick headcount! The family is growing! Lots of crazy uncles and a few nutty aunts in there as well I reckon! Yay!

Being in the Beta is supporting FD.
Real life should come first.
I'm pretty sure that FD will be able to finish the game AOK without your specific £100 upgrade.
Really pains me about the prices for this game. I've supported Frontier in every other way aside from Elite Dangerous. I just don't see how almost 400 Canadian is a valid price point for any Alpha. I've completely disconnected from this forum because of the prices and "class" of attitudes. I've actually lost a great deal of respect for Frontier as a company. Had I known they would try and milk it this hard and then eventually keep the products off STEAM (even though I'm supporting them on STEAM) I would have just not bothered to buy anything from Frontier.
I will probably buy the game when it's released but to be honest I'm not sure anymore. There are plenty of other indie devs and AAA games to play that require a fraction of the cost and have a much better attitude towards their fan base. I mean I've waited all this time for a new ELITE game I may aswell wait another 20 years. Yes Elite looks good but I'm not sure I want to support this company anymore.

Sorry you feel that way. In my opinion alpha/beta/gamma backing is all about backing the game. Making sure that it gets made.
Today FD announced access to the single player alpha for premium beta backers. This is awesome news and service.
I think FD are doing a great job creating an iconic game while at the same time trying to keep a diverse group of backers/fans happy. I wouldn't have it any other way.
