Something for the weekend? (Premium Beta getting single player combat build)

Well I for one think this is just great news for the Premium Betas
The Single Player missions are a great introduction to ED and are quite challenging initially.
I hope a lot of people here are happy now
I originally signed up for the Standard Beta and then upgraded to the Alpha and I am so very glad I did.
What is more important for me than the Single Player access for the Premium Betas, is the hard date now published, that Premium Beta will begin on 30th May. That is 3 days after my birthday and a great birthday present. All I need now is for my Oculus Rift DK2 to arrive at the same time
I think that this says that FD are very confident that they have solved the P2P and Network problems that have been seen in Phases 2 and 3 of the Alpha (although it is a lot better in 3.4, but not completely solved yet), otherwise they would not publicly commit to a date !!
That is amazing news. I think it says a lot about the worth of the Alpha phase to FD, so I feel a little proud that I have played a small part in this process.
So where is Alpha 4? Are we there yet?

I specifically looked for details regarding upgrading from normal to premium beta, because lot of people outside forums has asked me about it.
Then you've got some good news for them, not only can they now upgrade but they get access to the first Alpha build as a bonus

hmm, well it sounds like the map may be in the game but we only get to visit 200 cubic light years in Alpha 4. But its not very clear from that article.
