Might regret getting rid of the '& more' bit though - who knows what's in store for the next thread!
In real life, yes, the lit and unlit sides would be VERY different temperatures. But it seems like in the ED world, the way FD have modeled the universe, it looks like they are telling us the entire planet is the same temperature, all the time. It's a game, there will inevitably be some simplifications for various reasons.

Yeah the original did say exactly that - 'stay out of the open' - but it was altered. There was a logic for why Ian changed it, he'd missed the intention. I did ask for it to be fixed but he explained it was a bit too far beyond the 4th wall.
I suggested it might have been better as 'stay out in the open, but away from (the griefers)' but I don't know if it'll be changed now.
Sorry guys...
I think well need another thread to decide the threads new name.
Or perhaps a poll........runs for cover.

And it's easiest to see if you just fly straight up or down from the bubble. After a while you reach an area where going any further up/down is only possible if you have a range of 35-40 which used to mean only in a Conda or a very, very light Asp. Now with jumponium, it might be worth revisiting - there are thousands upon thousands of systems very close to the bubble but virtually untouched.
BUT - the route plotter is incredibly unreliable in those regions, it simply fails to find a route for no reason. I got stuck on the basement for several days trying to find a route back up.
