I've seen people rated harmless and a green pip - or a white pip. I've seen people with several pips that are mostly harmless and some dangerous with two. I've seen deadly with one white pip as well.

How does it work? - mostly though I can't work out the white pips!

People with white pips have reputation disabled. We also used to have red pips ...but we don't talk about the red pips...

I find that if you put full pips in the forums capacitor, it increases your resistance to idiotic notions.

From what I understand, 100 reputation gives 1 green pip. Though I can't be sure since I've only got one and my rep is at 96.

Who wants to give me 4 reps for science?

As has been said, there used to be negative rep and you could leave a comment as to why you gave rep in the first place. It was abused and so we can't have nice things anymore.

If you post sensible stuff, other users may "Rep" you with the button below the post. The more Rep you get, the higher your forum "level" and pips - but in reality, it's meaningless (although I do have much to be proud of

).

I think one is the number of posts, the other is the number of times someone gave =1 rep to one of your posts.

Put four pips to "huh!?" It's the only way to defend yourself from some posts. Some posts' "huh!?" level is so OP that I think they're using the Trump exploit.

Most forum users run with 0 pips to logic and alternate between 4 pips to "crap ideas" and 4 pips to "whine".

If you hover your mouse pointer over people's pips it tells you stuff about them, no really it does.

That's not entirely correct, as I have 10 pips, but 1450 rep. It'll likely scale, but I've never been sufficiently bothered to ask the higher-ups how.
