Combat Loggers...    how many are there!!!! What kind of punishment do they receive and when?

Within the last 2 days I've met 7 already Hudson (fluff-wise, [the Empire fanatics now will giggle I guess and get some moral or courage back, fluff-wise again]) Combat Loggers in a total of 12 interdictions made/received. And I do wonder..... ?

Why Commanders play in Open if they will Combat Log in the first place? Why don't they go in solo or private groups where they deserve to be? They must have a very unstable phychological profile to do so, because it really does not make any sense to me...or stupid or smthg.

My player group of course, as well as others (Empire/Alliance/Federation-leaning fluff wise) do put their names in KoS or hunt them down ofc. But I do still wonder... ?

I'd like you to put your thoughts in this ongoing plague for ED/H, and please if someone could remind me, what kind of punishment do they receive from FD? I remember it's shadow-ban or smthg, right? Does that take place from very first report?

If we take a look on FDs behavior in general, I guess that it could take some time for implementing punishment, (or maybe warning or smthg). We all know how busy they are with adding content and fixing stuff, and replying to bug reports etc, and it is partly, indeed, understandable. And I do remember FD staff saying that they "take combat logging, very seriously".

As a suggestion though, I'd really hope to see that FD opens up a bit of information concerning this matter. Why not publish names and punishments? Why not, us players reporting, getting some information concerning the "hacker", we have met and reported?

just out of interest, how many of those did you go 1v1 with and how many had equal or better ships?

I don't pay in open so i can only speculate. But some people just want to meet new people. People and interdictors aren't pulling you over to say hi let's have a friendly chat

CS:GO has a system where you are notified if one of the people you reported has been banned. This is a fantastic system, and I think it would entice the playerbase to actually use the report system. I've reported lots of people, but I no longer do so, because I have no idea whether my reports are working. Besides, from what I've heard, FD doesn't dole out anything but shadowbans, due to some UK consumer law.

Again as someone above asked - where you alone or in a wing?
What were you interdicting and what were you flying?

They have been added to a Kill on Sight or KOS as you call it list?
Lol - what do you think you are? The anti-combat logging crew?

Give us more details and I am sure your actions will be judged appropriately

If it's a wing of PvP speccd FDL's/Pythons/Conda/Corvette sort of thing ripping (trying to) apart nippers in trade ships and starter ships I am not surprised they logged on you.

Question. Were you seal clubbing or going after big game?

Is there a single shred of evidence that a single person has ever been warned for combat logging never mind being shadow banned - can't find one single post anywhere on the web on any format mentioning it.

So I guess it makes not the slightest bit of difference

Can someone clarify for me how easy it is to actually determine that someone has disconnected, rather than changing modes (which FD has made clear is acceptable behaviour)?

Om actually, in those 12 specifically 1vs1, some had worse, some had better.... But hey, here you are a bit mistaken.....better ships? define? My clipper vs a python, which you consider better? Or my DBE vs Python, again any comments on this? But no. Don't do, the topic was for another matter, it's not personal or about fairness or whatever ;)

no I guess not, but disconnect at 1%...? how unfortunate was that ;)

Let me answer your title for you.
1) A huge number of open players that should be playing in solo will combat log when the tables turn and they realize you aren't incompetent.
2) Fdev doesn't even ban people when they have video evidence of them hacking. Click here.
3) Literally never unless there is a huge public outcry for it.

the matter is not what I do, see above reply to end this kind of questions. The matter is a) why play in open when you combat log, b) what FD which takes the matter seriously, does to tackle the "hackers" and c) why it doesn't share the information of how it is tackling it ;)

Sorry, are you stating that you don't know whether these people are combat logging at all?

1% hull -->dc=Combat logging, unless network connection suddenly panicked because of the upcoming explosion. :D That's why I ask for FD to share some more info about "HOW" it is tackling the issue, nicely and clear .

Ahh bully, I bet you're proud of yerself :D

People play in open because they can - many don't use the forums and have no idea about Möbius and it's open but no PvP policy

Often after being killed several times by other players in a KOS manner they didn't realise it's "not cricket" to use disconnect to save their cargo/rebuy or not being someone else's content

FD and hackers - lol don't make me laugh, their hacking site is wide open for anyone to read and nothing is done. The script babies don't even stop non members from reading their posts.

Sharing info - again would probably show how ineffective they are at dealing with player complaints

Again, I ask the question. Are you sure that these individuals are actually disconnecting the game without going via the menu - which is what FD disapproves of - rather than exiting via the menu (or changing modes that way), which FD has made clear is legitimate behaviour?
