Could I just seek clarification on one aspect pls and apologies if I missed it somewhere:

Yes, I'm one of the late joiners, obviously not officially part of the expedition as I am not listed on the roster.

I am currently nearly at WP5 so basically caught up. Now, the question is, are we as latecomers allowed to participate in the meet-ups arranged or are they exclusive for roster members only?
Everyone is invited to the Alien Probing event this evening! \o/

Anyway, whether you're in a different group, solo or open, welcome to the party :)

As far as I know there are approx 200 people on the roster who are playing in open. I'm happy to play in any mode as I am sure most people are and will probably switch between Kamzel and Open while at waypoints to see who is about.

Ta for the replies :)

Good to know that I'll not be relegated to the broom cupboard if I manage to land in an instance with official expedition members :D

In any event, if people want to add me as a friend to get my location, feel free. I'm always in Open, CMDR # G #

That sounds like an overly complicated way to do it, compared to them just adding the srv back. Must be something strange about the way saves are stored on ED servers.

Not really. It depends on what Admin cheats/overrides are already coded. We know they can transport you somewhere else by magic - I, for one, got transported back to the bubble in a beta test when the self destruct was not working, so I was 30K LY out with no way of doing any testing. Armed with that magic transportation thing, they have all they need. They don't need a new magic way of getting a SRV, since you can just use normal in-game stuff. Now, I am a little surprised that they do not have a magic admin process to change anything on a ship, but given that they obviously do not have one to add a SRV, the work around they are using is perfectly understandable, if a little frustrating if you have to wait for them to do the magic.

I have Mobius as my main group, and have recently been accepted in Kamzel. So sometimes I switch to Kamzel around meeting places.

Hey anyone know how if Im allowed to make highlights on twitch if I have music from youtube in the background? Was thinking since highlights are permanent and it might infringe on copywright? I really like to have highlights of the things I have streamed but would be awesome with music for the stream. And have not found a way to edit the highlight by deleting the audio wich would be a solution, preferebly only the desktop audio so i can keep voice audio.

Not sure I'll make it tonight, invited wife out. On the other hand, if I convince her she'll look better just with the hors-d'oeuvres, it'll be faster. A kind of honk and single scoop?

Currently awaiting acceptance to Mobius.

As an aside, logged off at Drake's Ridge Base Camp and sent Annie on her way. When landing pls attempt to avoid my SRV - parked up in a crater and the last thing I want to do is spawn back and get eaten by another ship :D

Yeah ... I'm not sure that conversation will go how you think it will go.

It's all in the presentation, but there's an inherent risk of a crash and burn, I agree :)

"Dear, this summer we're gonna go to the beach, because I love the way you look in your bikini, btw, should we take the full 3 course dinner?"

is a tad better than

"You look fat dear, how about just the starters for you?"

That a trap: It will immediately be followed by a scowl and a question the likes of.....

"Are you trying to tell me that I'm fat?"

That'll be you done for for the rest of the month.

So after a moment of madened decisiveness following intense indecisivness I kaboomed the Anaconda Lightbringer at WP4 to go home and bring out the ugly duckling Asp Scout instead as that would be som uch more 'fun'. I've spent this week beelining it to NGCwotsitsnumbers and am only a few kly away now ..but indecisivness has taken over again and I really miss the speed at which the conda can chew up the lightyears compared ot theScout despite the scout handling like a ballerine in Supercruise compared to the anies trolly full of bricks model. GRAH!!!

lol, make a decision man, and stick to it, you are worse than the missus!!

Ok, not sure What the hell just happened, but I was returning to basecamp 5 for the night, and as Im cruising over the crater at an altitude of 10km looking for the landing site, my ship suddenly lurches VIOLENTLY, my shields go offline, and my hull dropps 31%!!! As far as I can tell, I wasn't attacked (from what I could tell, there wasn't even anybody else in the system), and I was at 10km, I sure as hell didn't run into anything! W T F?!?! My structure is now down to 64% and im left with the choice of "do I go back and repair, or go on and pray?"

With Premium boosts, is Beagle Point still the record for the farthest out anyone has gone?
It was the record for an Asp as far as I can remember. I think around a month later someone managed to go a little further out in an Asp in a different part of the rim.

After the exploration payout increased a few weeks later, Anacondas then became popular and affordable to most explorers and obviously were able to get beyond Beagle Point. Now with Jumponium, those Anaconda records are being pushed even further out.

Ships with military drives will be the next ones to set the records. Then all we need is the reintroduction of the galactic hyperdrive to set the ultimate record!
