hi I was wondering if some one could put me right here as I understand it at the moment if you have premium beta you can download the ED launcher and install ED but not play it till the end of the month? or should I be abke to play it now? thanks in advance

You will be able to play the alpha 1 build which is the single player missions until beta launches proper.

im just getting nothing installed the the launcher were it wants and the game installs were it wants press the play botton and nothing.!!!

Try disabling your firewall and try again, it may be blocking access to the internet and freezing the program. I had problems with that.
The Elite Dangerous Knowledge Base might help too.
Well just got home to try things
Things Done
re install DX9C
new gfx driver
run as admin
disabled firewall
checked task man no problems
still nothing any ideas now guys? cheers

DX9? Shouldn't that be DX11? If Windows 7, try:

When you say no probs do you mean that in addition to the installer you have an application called EliteDangerous.exe start when you press "play"?

Probably not the cure but some others re-downloaded and reinstalled and it worked. I'd try that. Wouldn't be the first corrupted installer I've downloaded.

hi all thanks for all you help and suggestions the cure was to re download and install it so if any one else has this problem best to.
delete old install via control panel
delete old install directory
re install installer to c:\ED
then create a folder called products so c:\ED\products
then run installer and it installs to the above
and it should work mine did
FD need to fix this fast its a lot of messing about and with the best will in the world some people might not be able to do all that
