Head toward the Blaa Hypai AA-A H68 nebula if you need to leave early. Although there is a key departure event tomorrow if you want to stick around a day longer?

I'd love to but I'm not going to be around to make it. I've got to take advantage of my free time to keep up with yall!

Thanks Erimus, I'm having an absolute blast with this!

I'll stick till tomorrow event. There's absolutely noone in Open Play for 2 days. Earlier I logged in just in time to see an Asp taking off from WP5, sent him a message and he said he's also bored sitting by himself. I'll stick around and learn CQC for a while till tomorrow at least.

For safety at basecamps, we should adopt a rule like they do at airshows. All aerobatic displays should occur beyond a designated line (say 500m) from the nearest ship. No low overflys, no crazy stunts about another players ship. Minimum of 500m passes above ships. etc. Repeated infractions may get you kicked out of the group.

I'm going to be mighty p* off if i'm hit at basecamp 10 etc. That means expedition over.

Thoughts?

I completely agree, and frankly I'm amazed that there are still some pilots over in the discord server arguing that this sort of behaviour is acceptable.

The temptation has become too much ... I'm burning for home to pick up an asp and some SRVs (was in the black when Horizons dropped), then I'm going to do my best to catch up - this looks like far too much fun :)

Since i found out about our precious Wasp-Radio (http://www.radionomy.com/en/radio/waspradio/index) i have it running in my background even when not playing ED - now i was wondering if it was possible to create some kind of Spotify-Playlist with all these Songs, so we can get that DW-Feeling even when our Expedition is over (ya, some sentimental guy here ^^ ) or for times when i am in that boring real-live-instance and need some refreshing music.

I already started putting together some songs from the radio, but noway i can listen 24 hours straight through to note all songs.

Ah, and really big thanks to the guy(s) that are running that radio, your doing a great job!

I concur it is good, and congrats

I know the Cmdr responsible and he was mortified that he damaged another Cmdr's ship. The two involved chatted and there were no hard feelings.

There are valuable lessons we can learn from this and should leave it at that. I know from talking to the Cmdr responsible he has learned those lessons.

There is no need to grab the pitchforks. Job done, move along, move along.

Its good that there's no hard feelings on this occasion - but its serious business now that we're getting further from home. I've written on the news thread that reckless low flybys and stunts won't be tolerated at landing zones in the private DW group from now on. If people want to do that kind of thing they have open play or their own groups. But the trust we have in the DW group at landing zones, where pilots are happy to leave their ships parked up and unattended, acting as markers for incoming fleet members, that needs to be protected. That trust is one of the best things about base camp meet ups.

This was an accident. What's done is done. A bit more caution is needed now if we want to get as many players to BP as possible :)

Making mistakes is human, learning from them is a good quality. I hope visits from the screw-up fairies are kept to a minimum on this journey. Was not going to cook soup on that bone anyway.

Really??

Im really interested what are the circumstances where that kind of behavior is acceptable on landing sites? Anyone who thinks so, feel free to come and elaborate here publicly.
Dont want any debate of the matter, but to clarify another point of view, cause i just cant see it..

More than happy to take that responsibility. o7

I have been flying around fast - for a lumbering ship like the Python - at the waypoints. I like flying around and I like seeing other ships flying around. I'm a decent pilot and I keep a very close eye on the scanner particularly when other ships are moving around. I'll keep away in future. X(

Well, i'd say it depends a lot on the margin of error. People flying around with a clear trajectory at the WP at 50m/s isn't the same than those trying to do chicken races at 250m/s.
I mean we're going to be landing there at the very least, so anything that's in the same ballpark should be okay :p

There's no indication that Wasp Radio will end with DW... :)
