I think, that if the shiptype spotted with the designation is consistent (only DBX) we have a hint similar to the UA bubble.
I'm thinking along the line of maximum range with multiple jumps
and half range for go to x and return to base stuff.
In the mood of finding out?

Give a bit of leeway for diminishing fuel but around 237.78Ly in 7 jumps

If engineers are helping with the craft though, there's a very good chance the jump range is a fair amount higher.

Nope. Bubble would need to be 200Ly with only about a 10Ly overlap.

Not that anyone's mentioned since the patch today.
We should at least keep the report that a DBX left the instance after a refuel at quite abnormal speed in mind, not sure a 'normal' approach to DBX stats should be used.

I wanted to post this somewhere. Here seams fine. I saw a post that the barnacles could be a parent of the UAs. They spit the UAs out at a launch speed where they then fly through space until they are able to seed somewhere and grow new barnacles.
Also, when aliens are finally introduced, I hope it's like... You're on a planet doing stunts in your SRV, then all of a sudden, huge odd ships appear in the sky (smaller is fine too). They Begin attacking an outpost in the distance. You are spotted and a ship is on intercept. An invasion begins.
Perhaps that should wait until Earth-like worlds are landable, and we get boats or some land to water vehicle... or land to water to air to space... Good stuff.
Mechs are cool too... Always. Love a giant waring Mech.

I think you're adding a bit there. Mysterious DBXs have been spotted in Maia and Alioth but I don't recall one in Merope.
Ah ok thanks, I was hoping they'd be popping up all over the place after the patch; maybe too soon.
I'll keep looking around the Witch Head this evening and see if I can find one.
