or maybe it could just be a simple reference to a day like maybe September 6 and 7 or possibly a season/month as in summer 6:7 being June and July, could someone possibly have a look into this one as it could maybe reference a major event in the past that happened during those months or days in September (I imagine it would be in-game dates too) or possibly there could a link the myths/legends, ancient gods if any of the dates are some how connected to them or possible the S could simply mean a system beginning with S? but I doubt that last bit

We might be complicating things here too much. Naming your ship after map coordinates or dates strikes me as odd. I wonder if it's something as simple as Squadron 7; ship 6 and the real clues are in finding/tracking anything named similar - or it's just a story part that is supposed to tell us that OO is interesting to someone / there's other interested parties involved, go figure out what/where they are.

Are your sensors set to logarithmic or linear? If affects how those poi circles are displayed.

For me, the circles appear differently in recent versions, even though the sensors are still set to linear. They initially appear as small circles in the scanner but get much larger as you get close. Previously they didn't change much (unless you rolled/pitched a lot in which case their shape skewed a lot).

that is also another possibility it could be part of a scouting/recon but as for why OO hmm where there any UA taken there do we know? maybe that's what they where looking for and as for complicating things you could very well be correct in that as Michael did say we was over complicating it when we first tried to decipher the UA

What about the mystic messages? Anybody see such a message?

I'm also very interested about the spread of probes and satellites around half of the galaxy. Why would somebody or something spread these ones several thousand lys?

well if it is thargoids you have to take into consideration that their technology is waaayyyy more advanced than ours and from speculation the UA could be a nav beacon of sorts but with the fact they're more advanced I would say they have a greater range so there for wouldn't need one in every system

no I don't know whether it is confirmed but I heard the thargoids come from that nebula you can see a bit away from the Milky Way if you zoom all the way out, which would further reinforce that they are technologicly far more advanced then we are

If you mean the Compromised Carrier Signals, then I don't think anyone's found one yet. Not sure what you mean about probes and satellites.

You should be careful about listening to tanked up astros in the space bar :D No-one knows where the Thargoid homeworld is.

As far as probes and satellites, I think they are talking about the crashed nav beacon POIs that can be found as far as the other side of the galaxy.

I would be kinda mad if S6: 7 ist just a reference for Star Citizens Squadron 42 (6 * 7 = 42)
nothing against SC, but that would be an evil crossover that lead us to a false track.

Ok, to throw some science back into the mix while apparently strange things are a happening. The Barnacles have been discovered and Harvested by any and sundry for quite a few weeks now. However something that has not been tested and would be very hard to implement would be the long term protection and observation of a Barnacle. If every CMDR that finds a Barny shoots and mines it then we just may be shooting the science in the foot so to speak.

We need a Barny National Park so that :
a) the Barny can possibly evolve into its next phase. (we already know it grows back its spikes, however does it go further than that if left alone and observed.) Oooh Science.
b) whoever owns these things or planted them may also be harvesting them behind our backs. If this truly is a living organism then they SHOULD be getting bigger or maturing, or even shooting out little UA's. But they are not. All the Barny's are around the same size which either means they are new to the areas found or they are at the limit of their life cycle.

Just some ideas that may move the mystery deeper. o7

Good Idea, might be do-able in Solo/Private Group. Just park the SRV there and record.... Anything could happen :D
I'll certainly help With the Insurance if something really interesting should occur. Perhaps an Idea for those that stream their gameplay?

Cheers
DZ
