Distant Worlds - A journey beyond the Abyss

I managed to make it, and I came from the bubble just two days ago, so I'd say go ahead pal.

As an aside, anyone reached the The Zheng He Plateau yet? I'm having some trouble figuring out how to find it from orbit.
Yes, there's some guide photos in the announcements thread. I found that approaching directly from the planet brought me to the best point to find the reference features. It's a tricky one but not as hard as WP3

So, I finally managed to start the journey yesterday and managed to reach the next waypoint (in an rather mad bee-line dash) just now ;)
Now it's time to do some exploring...
See you all tomorrow!

I'm still waiting to get back to NGC 6357 after the SRV blower upper bug. Maybe if I ask nicely they will move me to waypoint 6..

Fingers crossed that it goes more smoothly for you than when they moved me. Not been able to play since :( I think they mangled my cmdr data.

I was driving aroud waypoint 6 and noone there. I know the meet is tomorrow but I thought I might bump into at least on CMDR. I realised that I was on the wrong moon! For those who need it tho 1A in the waypoint system has Vanadium, Germanium, Niobuim and Yttrium.

Wow - that's a handy combination of goodies!

Z...

how were you in contact with them.
Forum, bug section or Frontier's support site? Either way hope you stated clearly that you're ready to be transported back.

Got to WP 6 last night, great for Jumponium components (now I've got all I want!) but rather a lot of cliffs to drive off... maybe?
.
I was scouting for components on a billiard table flat planet on the way to WP5 when I screamed off the cliff in the picture below due to not noticing the ground was disappearing in front of me. Total heart stopping Wile E. Coyote moment before plunging toward the ground below whilst desperately feathering the thrusters to lessen the impact. Fortunately low gravity so only 51% damage to the SRV. I drive a bit more careful now :) As they say in the trade: See that cliff? I didn't!
.
Also does anyone know how to do that "spoiler" thing so everyone doesn't have to look at the picture?
.

Go to "go advanced" bottom right when you are posting and highlight the image and click on spoilers. Although in this instance I am glad it wasn't in spoilers, excellent image.

I found the spoiler Icon - on my screen it is the blank space between the "Wrap tags" and "Wrap [imgur] tags" icons!
.
Can you guys actually see the icon in that that space?

Hello all,
Looking for some advice from seasoned explorers on the best way to use EDD and EDSM. How do you use them in your day to day explorations? I have both setup and working now (I think) and am starting to poke around with them, but would love any insight from the deep experience pool of explorers we have on this expedition. Fun to see the progress of the fleet in EDSM but also want to use these two tools to become a better explorer and maybe contribute some useful data. Any help or advice would be appreciated.
Thanks and Fly safe

Im on my way, in my asp 33LY named V´ger.
I star the jouney very late. because i have serious problems with my hotas.

I just contribute by doing a Triangulation every now and then. Sometimes every 300ish ly, sometimes every 800ish, depending on my mood.
It would lovely to do every system, but I would never get anywhere.
