No problems here :)

I have read a few posts on people being unable to get the Alpha1.1 working (there are some good solutions here (ED Forums)to some of those problems ... I hope you guys get your problems solved quickly)
If you are having problems with the Build, I wouldn't read on ...

I just wanted to say that once the game was available to download, it was downloaded and ready to play in a couple of mins, no problems there) ... started it up and was presented with the Awesomeness of the Frontier/Elite: Dangerous splash screen with the dark and moody Music (Aliens/Dark Knight esque) ... and then into the game ... The Sound in the game is astonishing, I love that the music is coming from behind me (5.1 Surround) like it's coming from inside the ship .. nice touch..

I had a bit of difficulty getting used to the controls (X-Box controller) but the game ran perfectly ... I posted this next bit in another thread:

I have the game running smoothly on *full settings (*available to me : 1920x1080 ... D3DOverider instead of V-Sync and FXAA on)

With these components:

GPU: GeForce GTX 760 (MSI)
CPU: AMD FX(tm)-8350 Eight-Core Processor 4.0ghz
Memory: 4.00 GB RAM (3.98 GB usable)
OP SYS: Windows 7 ultimate
Mother Board: ASUS M5A78L-M/USB3

Running as smooth as you like ... couldn't ask for better performance ... :D

I have tried out both the Anaglyphic 3D on my 'non 3D' TV/Monitor and the side by side 3D on my Brothers super 3D monster telly (at the same time converting a disbeliever to the ways of Elite!) ... both with no visible frame-rate drop.
I have run the game alongside ShadowPlay at full res ... no framerate drops.

I have not had a single crash (yet :))

So I just want to say to FD that for me, everything is working well ... Nothing to Report ...

I thought it would be good to let anyone who is thinking of going for the Beta know that on some systems (no idea which ones) the demo (alpha 1.1) works flawlessly, on others .... not so much ..

How many people have had a nonsense free ... simple install/play without problems? ... it can't just be me

Good to hear :) Generally, people only post when there's a problem or negative aspect... not many post that things are working fine ;)

I'm not sure why some are having problems with the 1.1 SP build, but most of the Alpha issues right now are being blamed on netcode, which you're not using yet. It'll be interesting to see how you transfer in to the proper beta release at the end of May and see if you're still stable compared to others :)

No problems for me either apart from getting my Thrustmaster T.16000M to function (I'm a lefty).
Think I have it kind of sorted now and was fun experimenting with the settings.
I'm now zooming all over the place and blasting things, This is fun and I just can't understand all the whiners out there.
Next task is to setup some voice attack commands :)

(Highlighted by me) That's why I thought I would post it ... it's important that people are aware that the game isn't riddled with issues for everyone.

and yes PBeta, will be interesting ... I do have ninja speed broadband but I'm not sure that will help.

I too did not have any problems downloading or installing the game, the game plays perfectly, I was a bit dubious about my graphics card as I read alot of posts about a higher card is needed, anyhoo the only porblem I had was a control issue which was resolved in 35 secs flat after asking a question of these forums.

Not 1 CTD yet and running at 1920x1080

great job FD

Those who are having problems in Premium Beta are just a tiny minority. The vast majorities have no problems.

Nothing to worry about.

A tiny minority with legitimate problems perhaps so in that case it is something to worry about. We shouldn't dismiss peoples problems, no matter how small a number are experiencing them.

Indeed, I seriously feel for the people who are having problems .. they need to have their games fixed ASAP ... If I was having problems I would be asking if there are any solutions too ...

I wish them luck and working games ...

To those having problems, I sympathize. I had a problem when I upgraded to premium beta that only got sorted 12 hours after ordering. For many, their problems wont get sorted until Monday.

But for me since the problem was solved the game has been running fine and I've had fun getting to grips with it.

Same here. No problems other than getting rudders working and a few buttons on the
Saitech x52 pro, but i'm hoping that the bugfixes in later builds thats included in
premium beta will adress that.
As i understand us premium betas have acess to version alpha single player 1.1
if so much of the buffixes is probably not present here.
or am i wrong ?

You are speaking on behalf of these developers perspective point of view. All of these problems are mostly incompaitble and lacks of drivers installation.

Therefore, nothing to worry about in you're granny basement. :D

Nope, you got that right. A lot of the issues that people are having in Alpha 1.1 (which is what Premium Beta players were given access to) have been fixed later versions.

:p
exellent. then i dont want to mess around to much with different joysticks and axis bindings buttons etc. because most will be solved when premium beta arrives. thanks for answering my question and calming my worries.

Not sure OR support was in 1.1.... I might be wrong though.

A quick way to check if OR is supported in 1.1 is to see if there's an "oculus rift reset' button in prefs/controls. If it ain't there then I doubt OR is supported.

I also have had no problems. It runs perfectly.

I would just like to take this opportunity to thank whoever brought that shipload of slaves (otherwise denoted as Alpha backers) from the Empire to do the first round of bug finding. Thank you whoever you are - sheer brilliance :)

A very smooth download and installation indeed. I can't really fathom that we will be able to travel around the Milky Way galaxy shortly. It's a wish come true :)

No problems here either, download was quick and painless.

ah but there is one problem I have encountered, I use a Black widow J/S and though it is not an X52 with a thousand buttons, it does have enough buttons to set up for combat only thing is whoever preprogrammed the game with settings for the Black widow must have been drunk at the time, So have changed all the settings accordingly

I can set the pov hat for looking around but I have to switch into that mode and then switch out again before using any other button...does this happen for every J/S with a hat or just the black widow.....oh and my setup

6 core 2.8 ghz
asus M4A78LT-M-LE ...mobo
GTX 650 2meg not the TI version
8 Gig ram
and a blackwidow
Playing in 1920*1080 Anaglyph (Wow)
sorry got to go now too busy playing:)
