Greetings Commanders,

As discussed in our forum post yesterday we’ve made some changes to the way our products appear in our store and Steam.

Based on your feedback, we’ve simplified the different products available to buy. From today onwards the products available, excluding game extras, are

• Elite Dangerous
• Elite Dangerous: Horizons Season Pass
• Elite Dangerous Deluxe Edition bundle

Make sure to read yesterday’s thread for all the details and answers on what these changes mean to you.

In addition to simplifying our Steam and store pages, we are also bringing these changes in with an all new, week long sale! The Elite Dangerous Horizons season pass are available on both Steam and in our store at a discounted price of £19.99 / $29.99 / €26.99 as part of the new Steam sale – which we are matching on our store...

We also want to share with you more details about the expansions that will be coming to Horizons over the course of the season. We know you’re all as excited as we are about the planned roadmap ahead so without any more delay, they are….

2.1 – The Engineers
Coming Spring 2016
Everything changes. Introducing an expanded mission system and game-changing loot. Craft exotic weapons and modules for your spacecraft and build a ship unlike any other.

2.2 – The Guardians
Coming Summer 2016
Take what comes and strike back with double. Bring a second ship to every combat encounter with Ship-Launched Fighters and defend your passengers against the deadliest threats in the galaxy.

2.3 – The Commanders
Coming Fall 2016
Team up and stand together. Forge your own identity with the new Commander Creator, then share your bridge with Multi-Crew and fly with friends.

2.4 – ????
A secret to be revealed in Elite Dangerous: Horizons’ final expansion!
The sales end Friday February 12 (6pm GMT).

Awesome Zac, glad to see a glimpse of whats to come. I hope that the Engineers update brings with it some balancing when it comes to large wing pvp, Right now the meta does not allow for a variety of ships to be used as they are just outclassed. For example full wings of stealth FAS's, FDL's and cutters or corvettes. it seems once the SCB nerf that many of the ships have lost their ability to keep up with mostly the FDL and FAS. Wing Combat has not seem to become more diverse. With the advent of Engineers I hope to see the ability to complement ship's weaknesses or further advance it's strengths. I still fly my python and even though it has been nerfed to heck and back twice now I really hope to see an ability to somewhat circumvent those nerfs to make it a viable ship for wing combat again without making it OP.

Sorry to say this but this is no motivation at all for the X1 players seeing all these promotions for Horizons on the PC

So this is what I bought:

ELITE DANGEROUS: HORIZONS - BETA - 19th January 2016 67,99 €
ELITE DANGEROUS - 23. December 2014 - 49,99 €

Can someone tell me what I bought with this Beta? It's no longer listed in the Frontier Store, so I don't know what is included there.
What does this change now mean for me?

Seeing all this new stuff for pc only is really of puting for me being on Xbox one. It feels like there is no support or care for us Xbox user's. Come on and get us up-to-date with pc version.

I understand that you guys are waiting for Horizons and that these promotions aren't directly relevant for you. However, the changes in products and store is relevant for all players including Xbox One players.

In terms of development there are people actively working on Horizons and store for Xbox One and we will have more information as and when we are able to.

Remember that there has recently been Xbox sale and promotions as well as community activity and support for Xbox too.

I understand you can't wait to play, that really is awesome. We will have more news once it is ready.

You bought access to the Beta phase of Horizons, which is over (however if there are any other betas for expansions within Horizons, you will have access to those). Because you have ED and Horizons you get access to the Cobra Mk IV and the free Asp gold skin. You get Horizons.

You won't have to buy anything until season 2 prior to or at 2017.
