That 4th shot is one of my favourite Horizons shots so far :)

Glad you like it! Yeah one of the coolest sights I have seen so far definitly could make this moon a permanent home if it wasent for the small problem that the void forever calls for me :D Maybe as a resort or my retirement home^^

Found a supergiant k-class star today with some very nice sights here are some of the ones I have discovered so far:)

Really like driving around on the moon of this gas giant would not think you are 600 ls away from the star when you see it:)

Wow that's stunning! Had to go take a peek myself as i was pretty close, but the (1.1 day) orbit of the moon had moved it so that the view wasn't as nice. Not sure whether i should stay here until tomorrow, or press on then try to come back here on my return journey...

Evening Cmdr`s, just thought I`d let you guys know, I got to WP7 this eve, and have found 6 Polonium since I`ve been here, just thought I`d mention it here because it`s the richest source I`ve found for it so far, by far, so if you`re in need guys o7

Fantastic news - I may just have to speed up my travels... I am in need!

That fourth shot is quite extraordinary. Well done!

And wallpapered. ;)

Yes - that looks like a winning photo to me.

A bowel loosening moment when I jumped into a system ...

It's more fun when one of them is a Neutron...

Z...

Driving west from the waypoint into da Gama Trench might not have been the best idea. Somehow I survived driving down 3.5km to somewhere flat enough for the AI to land my ship.

Haha, I did the same thing earlier, managed to make it all the way to the bottom of the trench after around 30 mins, and a hull repair on the way after a few tumbles, thought I was going to lose my SRV after one rather heavy landing on the way down.

I did the same. After a long tumble and on-the-fly repair I survived, then had to find a spot where my ship and I could meet.

After I got back to 'camp', was passed by another cmdr in an srv. Shortly after was a *boom* and on turning around I could see bits of srv scattering around a parked asp. Sometimes I wonder if the trench mightn't be the safer spot...

Yes, it seems that SRV death is only a matter of luck. I don't know how I survived running out of Ni on 34% hull and later driving into the trench when someone in the same instance on flat ground can just go boom.

..meanwhile back on Earth..

20 years has passed, humankind is on the verge of extinction as aliens have conquered the earth and theres only small resistance pockets left.
We are trying to unite and fight back but thats proving to be really difficult, as enemy has new powerful foes which we have never seen. Luckily our research team lead by Dr. Tygan has managed to find out their secrets in part and our engineer department head Dr. Shen is putting together weapons we have a small possibility to fight back.
Unfortunately, new enemy types has been really effective and our soldier roster is stacking up with injuries and only rookies left in reserve.
But, we can only fight to live another day and we will, conquer Earth back.

This is XCOM headquarters Avenger signing off.

After having jumped out of the system I realised that my shield generator was still on. I normally switch it off when travelling to reduce my heat in case I get trapped between suns. So I went to modules and switched it off. I then realised that my planetary vehicle hangar was inactive. So how did I just manage to land, deploy an SRV and get back into the ship again? I switched it on for a bit just in case it needs to be on to repair the SRV.

I noticed this as well. Think it is a bug. Currently I am not sure what to do myself i.e. leave it on or off...

I had an entire day off yesterday, and started out 7.5 kylies behind the main fleet. Whenever I considered buying XCOM2, I forced myself to jonk another kylie.

I have now successfully caught up with the fleet and will keep that motivational tool until I got Insensitivity to Beagle and back.
