Distant Worlds WP7 – No targets in sight!
I'm playing in open, am I missing something with the instancing these days? I understand the majority of players are probably UK based (AU myself) but I thought I would have come across at least one other soul out there. Tried jumping in and out of the system several times, hanging around on 1B for a few hours scooping mats, but still all quiet, guess there's no griefers to worry about. :p

I'd have joined you in about an hour or two. I'm currently sitting about 1200 ly away from wp7. I was going to push through after a 4000 ly relay today, but have decided to call it a night. The earlier posts about close calls with stars? Yeah, not 10 minutes after reading those and thinking "gee, what are the odds of that happening? And going through a star...? 1 in a billion probably."

Let's just say, I currently have a video uploading to youtube right now...

Never sure where best to post info like this, but i think its useful for DW.
a nice little fuel stop for level 2 boots all on one planet, but is 45k ls from arival point. Still its nice to have a location for level 2 boots so you can feel safe when 65K Ly out in the black.

Short answer no. The galaxy is littered with human garbage, Tea, Narcotics, Occupied Escape Pods, Personal Weapons, Gold, etc., basically crap worth zilch to an Explorer (you have to haul it somewhere and it reduces your jump range).

Personally, I would much rather find alien artifacts, strange abandoned alien cities, and ancient alien ruins. But I guess we are not there yet. Now, to find a 'real' leathery egg, the Xenobian Intergalacic FSD drive with a 50/50 chance of blowing up and be the target for the Imperial Xenobian Death Squad that would probably be too much fun in a game such as Elite: Dangerous: Horizons.

Most are in private groups to help in instancing, there are people doing DW in open, but it might make instancing difficult unless you wing up.

Okay that's scary. Now I know what to expect. I guess this is why I brought the heat sink. I don't even remember what hotkey that's linked to.

Well, even thou i might be a bit late with this, here's some nice Video i put together from 126 Screenshots while traveling to WP6 (Hollow Vail). Its about 3.5k LY of footage and i found it really impressive how that nebula comes closer and closer and i realized the first time, how these other nebulas kinda pop in.

This has the makings of the most epic elite dangerous video ever if you managed to do it all the way to Beagle Point. It'll really bring home the scale of the galaxy and the journey we're on.

No pressure! :D

Now when I log back in today Im greted with a ringed gas giant hanging in the sky above me:)

This moon sure has alot of nice views! event though the first one is my favourite this one is nice aswell:) if you wait for the full orbit 1.1 days you might see something even better:)

Like always, I am way behind the main fleet and just now arrived at Waypoint 6, The Hollow Veil. Unsurprisingly, I seem to be alone here. In case other commanders lacking behind are still around, let me know, perhaps we can have a small drive around the interesting canyons of the planet!
