My DW journey has become delayed pending frontier assistance.

SRV 'sploded (my fault), got an error contacting the transaction server resulting in a blank rebuy screen. Quit the game and logged into non horizons ED (as I always do when something odd happens on a planet). Sat there looking at a ship destroyed rebuy screen...

I've not rebought yet, I'm waiting to see what FD support can do (if anything).

Hate to hear that. Hope you'll be back soon.
It seems we should start to wish each other "fly bug-free" instead of "fly save".....

I had one of my two SRVS blow up on me yesterday. Yes I was fooling around buy nothing in haven't done a 100 times before with no issues, so please be careful. This is something FD really needs to fix.

Over 20 hours clocked so far, really enjoyable game. :)
Looking forward playing the co-op mp as soon as someone does that mod.
Them aliens are kicking my behind. Didn't want to start as beginner, so picked the 2nd difficulty.

One of my most used features is the memorial board. R.I.P. Erik Anderson :(. And I can't imagine that Rangers will have a good deal on a life insurance package.

Almost bought it last night, came out of the channel and ran into a couple of M class blighters, straight through one of the blackguards, my kite lit up like a pile of wood on bonfire night, 160% and rising, thought about ditching into the briny, but came out the other side smelling of roses. The core chaps, beware, cads abound.

Hi everyone, I've only just learned of this expedition a couple of days ago and have been blazing a trail across the galaxy to catch up. I'm now somewhere between waypoint 7 and 8, I know roster registrations are closed but if possible I'd still like to join one of the private groups to be able to fly with some other people on this unique event. :)

Commander Name: Lyneira
Forum Name: Lyneira
Time Zone: CEST (GMT +1)
Ship Type & Range: Imperial Clipper (22-25ly)
Role : Explorer/Photographer

Also, have a picture of an Earth-like moon I encountered along the way, orbiting a very heavy high metal content planet. :)

Just seen announcement that WP8 is 4200lys away, or around 2hrs travel time in a 30ly ship.

Is that really how fast most people travel?

I feel like I must be doing something wrong - takes me 40 mins to cover a Kylie, in a 34ly Conda, and that's without even opening the system map. If the travel time is not a typo, please share your secret :)

It depends on what type of star density and star type you are travelling through mate.
I have a 37LY Conda and "buckeyballing" (full speed entry into a system, honk the system while scooping and activating hyper space while aligning to next system and ensuring my temp is in the safe zone at full speed) means I can cover 1KLY in 27minutes without opening the gal map until I need to plot my next 1KLY.
However.
Thrown into the mix dense neutron stars black holes and white dwarfs then my speed is reduced to over 30minutes. I actually have to look at the gal map and check I'm not jumping full speed into a NS or BH.
It's all individual technique mate and whatever you are comfy with. I can cover 4KLY in 2hrs providing the conditions are perfect.
Hope that helps CMDR.
