Combat chatter

Audio can really draw you into a game, and ruin it with its absence. I remember in X3: Terran Conflict that there were some sectors that were lost, literally in the middle of nowhere. It's been a while but when you jump to one of these hidden sectors it's almost entirely black, and all you can hear is some kind of static like sounds, perhaps radio emissions from distant stars. It reinforced the impression you had just jumped to some where desolate and very, very far away from anything you would call home.

very much agree with this. Just cannot see the sense in comms chatter when alone in deep space, I for one would be looking for the ****** thats trying to talk to me, before realising it was just fake chatter.

What if you hear comms chatter by mistake, not intended for you?
Or even, distorded comms chatter which might be distress message (or warning à la "Alien").

That could be very immersive when leading to a mission, no?

I would like that very much. Special events like that could easily be integrated into it.
