The Jumpconda @ WP8

1 daring brave CMDR, 1 crater, 2 Anaconda's and 1 unfortunate SRV landing...

CMDR Isokix, CMDR Raijin, CMDR R1nzl3r, and CMDR Blackixo in the 'Jumpconda'
Enjoy!

Logged on in my buggy to find the CMDRs in the post above (I think) doing their thing :)

That's really useful to know. I'm trying to avoid any damage whatsoever and certainly don't intend having to do another BRB so didn't really know how close you could get. But even dropping out at 46km your heat was still quite low.

Black Holes really aren't much of a danger, their exclusion zones are fairly small. You're very unlikely to hit it unless you're aiming right at it.

Made this several months ago.

Cool, would like to see those. There was a third commander following a little way behind, but I think I managed to warn him after I fell but before he reached the point of no return. I do remember you and I think an Anaconda flying around in the trench though. If it had been lighter I probably wouldn't even have considered going that far, but fortunately one lives and learns...

Yeah I saw that third buggy back a bit, don't think he followed through however.

Here are the only shots I took of you guys driving down into that immense ravine:

I think I left for space before the other commander blew up.

I really liked WP07, that was a fun and awesome planet.

Goodbye Stellar forge, not only making stars, blue rainbows as well.

The sky starts to look pretty intimidating already.

Batten down the hatches, major storm front made of light moving in. Welcome to wp8.

That was me, thanks for the warning, I made it back out unscathed.

No problem, glad to hear it!

Nice! If i could have seen that drop off from my SRV i'd have turned back much sooner.

(can't rep again so soon, so have a virtual one instead :D )

Found an unclaimed planetary nebula on the way to WP8, also had a system 0.68 LY away so I went for an outside view and was blown away.

Woah, nice!

I just tried to take off from wp8, like normal vertical thrust up, and I'm immediately greeted by a shields off-line warning, sparks flying and hull damage. Now my ship looks like this.

40k round trip for repairs already, yet at this rate I might not make to Beagle point...
Plus I didn't want to tour the galaxy in a ship looking like a cheese grater this time :/

Still want to know where the '[Distant Worlds] I'm out!" thread is.

I also couldn't find such a thread, but I think it would be useful. I offer to open and maintain such a thread,
but I never did that  so, should I give it special considerations? Should I get in touch with the DW organizers first?
Any advise would be appreciated.

We're trying to find them for now, but haven't made such progress.
Next plan is to contact those where we think they have returned early to be sure and track.

So, I should do nothing for now? That's great since that's what i do best *lol*

What you can do, is helping me and give me reports ;)
Lots of users so I cannot do everything myself.

You can look on EDSM where the participants are and contact those that are not moving or transmitting their logs to see where they are.
There is also a Google Doc that track some of the participants.
