Only because everyone who isn't registered counts as 'returned early', methinks. I'm one of them, and reports of my early return are greatly exaggerated. I'm right on schedule.

It's not consistent though, some "not registered" are still showing up as active. (#18, for example)

We're registered with the EDSM expedition (late comers), but how does EDSM know who is part of the expedition if you're not part of EDSM (yet)? Conversely, there are some who are "not registered" and show progress! How is that possible?

I'm still trying to get my wing-mate registered with Erimus since he was too late for the official thread, and we're now at waypoint #6, and hope to be at #8 for the meet-up.

I guess in the fullness of time we'll see how many actually make it, but I'd expect a pretty high level of attrition simply due to the magnitude of the task, and some really not understanding how much of an effort it is (mentally and time-wise!)

You gotta admire Frontier. Through clever encouragement of player generated content, the Missing have become a self fulfilling prophecy. (If I drop out, do I get my own generation ship?)

I am adding my log files manually so it will look like I am behind. Im sure that's applicable to a few people

Can anyone explain to me how that is done? I registered at EDSM before DW started but couldn't figure out how it works so I never used it. As a result I show up as 0% progress.

"Au contraire mon frere", said Ziggy being the pompous git he is, "I haven't moved in 5 days. I have got to start moving. Stat"

2.7KLY off now... going to get there this evening. Although I *do* keep jumping into neutron fields....

Oh speaking of which... selfie thread for a triple bypass moment!

You're on my heels.

I'll play another short game of XCOM2, then I'll race you to the waypoint. Last one there is a Thargoid grannie.

"Sup?"
"Not much, folding space, taking pictures is all"

It's worth pointing out that contrary to the announcements thread, I started to hit neutron stars and white dwarfs 2,700ly from WP8. Be wary on the approach from wp7.

i concur, hit the little sods constantly all the way to WP8, I dropped down the plane to -1800 from wp7 and have had neutrons, white dwarfs and black holes. Its been emotional.

Just had my first jump in at a black hole. Watching the stars moving against a black sky is quite mesmerising.

It's also dodgy! Didn't realise how close I'd got to it

Any pointers on how to behave around the neutron stars warp ins or is it a case of pure luck? I've been throttling back while in witch space.

You're doing it right. Throttle to zero during the jump and you'll be OK. After scanning it, turn well away from it, or even turn directly away, before throttling up.
