I've seen a number of reports about huge/deep craters on Planets that were very clearly glitched.

I was very surprised to stumble upon one that on first look from a distance looked like a similar glitch - but upon closer inspection might rather be legit (?)

After checking it out, it indeed looks legit. Those walls are ~6km high :D
(just in case anyone looks for a 1v1, 2v2 or 4v4 "Fight Arena" - it's absolutely perfect for that, including the grand overview for the Spectators from above ;) )

View from the Ground (my Courier departing from 2km distance) :

I still haven't been able to find any real photos/documentation that would suggest that the impact crater walls would form in such a high and narrow manner. This one is a bit more reasonable than others, but I still have a feeling that the modelling isn't exactly correct. That being said, I still love things like this. Very awesome.

True indeed.

It's one of these tiny Planets and its edges are all normal (75deg inclination - good for "Dukes of Hazard" or "Colt Seavers" SRV action). No issues for the SRV anywhere on the Ground.
At least that makes it feel somewhat more normal, even if it clearly remains an oddball. It probably should sit some ~5km deeper into the Planet surface.

As we don't have any real proof if something like this could or could not really exist, I'll take them all for real. If these are glitches, I certainly hope they leave them in. It's nice to find sometimes strange geographical features...

The Rep I gave you has nothing at all to do with your post but it is for the pictures of the Courier. It's the one ship I miss while I'm out exploring. :)

The only thing I can say is: Someone must have stolen my bone. I know I buried it there and us dogs are a bit manic, when we start digging for something, we know; was, there.
