the thing that annoys me more than it should is inquisitive short people who, just because you're tall simply MUST know how tall you are; sometimes to the extent of stopping you in the street to ask.
what is it about tall people that makes them so inquisitive? do they see someone who is around 5'6" and say 'oooo your average arnt you, how tall are you?'

Perhaps short people don't consider themselves short, so anyone taller than them is a freak of nature and needs interrogating?
Also while it's probably frowned upon as being "heightist" to make observations about someone's lack of height, the reverse doesn't appear to apply.

I kinda know what you mean, in the most friendliest sort of way, but I've always found Aussies to be straight talkers and have many good friends from the country. Salt of the Earth! I wish I lived there in all honesty.
However, when it comes to Politicians they don't annoy me more than they should. 'Scum' is far too a polite word for them. The problem imo stems from the corruption of the electoral system. There is no democracy without proportional representation. QED.
